Hello you Guys!
I am in need of a voice actress who can voice Maleficent, the dark queen from the 1959 Walt Disney Animated film "Sleeping Beauty".
I am planning a surprise nighttime show for my brother entitled "AniMagical!" This show is my present to him before he goes away to college.
What is "AniMagical?!"
Now, most of you are wondering how I came up with that name. Well long story short, my little bro is going to college in California for Animation and he is a HUGE Disney Fan (as I am). At first I was thinking why not try to do a low budgeted version of "Fantasmic!" a nighttime show from the Disney Parks. But it required too many people in order to make it happen. So I decided to create my own Disney nighttime show that kind of follows the Fantasmic story line but instead dealing with the Magic of Animation-THUS creating the crazy word..."AniMagical!"
"AniMagical!" (in a nut shell) centers around Mickey Mouse gathering all of my relatives under the nighttime sky to celebrate my brothers animation dream. The audiences magical journey is soon interrupted when malicious Maleficent explodes onto the scene and commands the audience to bow down to her. When no one bows upon her, she uses her "AniMagical" powers to unleash all of the Disney villains you love to hate. All seems lost until Mickey saves the day.
It's a very typical Disney nighttime show story line.
I am voicing Mickey for this show, for those who haven't heard my Mickey performance, here's a quick Kingdom Hearts clip: http://youtu.be/_k2odVpKQYc?t=1m8s you don't have to watch the whole thing if ya don't want to lol ^_^
What I'm expecting!
Maleficent (though being one of the main characters in the show) has very few lines in the show, 10 to be exact.
I am looking for a female who can give Maleficent that dark, dominant and eerie personality and tone that makes her who she is in Disney Villain history.

ROLE: Maleficent
LOOKING FOR: Female (Any age: As long as it sounds like Maleficent). There will also be an Understudy chosen just in case. ;) I want an actress who can take direction very fast (where saying a line a certain way is concerned). VA should be able to laugh maliciously.
REFERENCE: I would suggest referring to the nighttime show "Fantasmic!" or the Magic Kingdom show "Dream Along with Mickey" or even the ever so popular "Kingdom Hearts" series.
Fantasmic!: http://youtu.be/mlRoeOjND5I?t=16m25s (Evil laugh can be heard here).
Dream Along with Mickey: http://youtu.be/48UnKTt-PYs
LINES FROM THE SHOW:
1. Hmmm… well, well quite a "glittering" assemblage.
2. SILENCE! Your existence shall be ultimately disregarded once I'm done with you.
3. You shall use NO such tone with me! And as for all of you! If you don't want to risk the same fate as your rodent companion, I suggest you all bow before me.
4. *Evil Laugh* (Just so I know you can do it!)
I would like the recordings to be recorded clearly with NO background noises and sent to me in either "wav or mp3" format. Please try to send me the lines in one file, not just 4 individually.
How do I send you the files???
You can send me the recordings at this email address: atoonstudios@gmail.com
Please label your audition tracks as follows: Maleficent_ VAA Username
DEADLINE: July 21, 2012 (I'm sorry for making the deadline so close, I was so busy getting all the other stuff ready for the show that it had finally came to me that I had forgot to find a voice for Maleficent earlier. Hope this is ok with everybody). I will post the cast list on July 22, 2012.
Who ever is awarded the role, I will be recording the show and will probably put it on YouTube so you can view it (probably just the Maleficent and Mickey scene).
NOTE: This show does includes; lights, projection, confetti, a pinch of pyrotechnics and performers.
Thank you all so much for at least stumbling upon my audition thread. This really means a lot to me. This is also my very first time holding an audition and I hope to hear from...I dunno...at least 5 people lol.
"Have a Magical Day Everyone!"
