For generations, four Clans of wild cats have shared the forest according to the laws laid down by the powerful ancestors. But the warrior code is threatened, and the ThunderClan cats are in grave danger. The sinister ShadowClan grows stronger every day. Noble warriors are dying -- and some deaths are more mysterious than others. In the midst of this turmoil appears an ordinary housecat named Rusty . . . Who may yet turn out to be the bravest warrior of them all.
I will be adapting the first book of the ever-popular Warriors series by Erin Hunter into a comic dub. The art is provided by Idess, Sassyheart and Winggal on deviantart. Big thanks to them for letting me use their work.
The characters listed in this casting call are the ones that appear in the first three chapters. Whenever a new character pops up in the comic, there'll be another casting call.
***HOW TO AUDITION:
Email your auditions to me at warriorsaudiobook@gmail.com. Please record all your lines in one audio file (easier for me to keep track of). Name the file username_ITWaudition. Also tell me in your email a username or name you'd like to be credited as.
DEADLINE: July 25th
RESULTS will be posted on my YouTube channel (http://youtube.com/user/warriorsaudiobook) and the cast will be notified by email. THEY WILL NOT BE ON HERE. Sorry for the confusion last time.
CHARACTERS:
These are all the characters I need voices for at the moment.
There will also be an understudy for every character, just in case the main actor can't turn in lines.
Important: I would strongly prefer all the cats to have a standard American accent (unless noted otherwise).

RUSTY/FIREPAW
He's the main character, the hero of the story. He's courageous, inquisitive and is always looking to make things right. He is a house cat at the beginning but joins a clan of wildcats.
Rusty is a young cat. I don't know what the "stereotypical, young male hero" voice is, but if you do, please do your version of that. xD He should sound about 12-13 years old in human years. Girls are welcomed to try out for him.
Lines:
1: Why don't you find yourself an owner with a nice cozy house instead? Your life would be much easier. There are plenty of housefolk who'd take in a kitten like you. All you have to do is sit where they can see you and look hungry for a couple of days...
2: Send me home? But I've only come here to hunt for a mouse or two. I'm sure there's enough to go around.

[I]GRAYPAW
He becomes Firepaw's best friend. He's funny, friendly and very accepting of Firepaw.
Graypaw is about the same age as Firepaw. (12-13 years in human age) His voice should be bright and warm. Again, I'm not too sure what the "stereotypical-hero's-best-friend" voice sounds like exactly, but that's what I want.
Lines:
1: Oh, I'm far from the most dangerous. If I were even half a warrior, I'd have given an intruder like you some real wounds to think about. Anyway, I didn't think it was worth hurting you. You're obviously not from one of the other Clans.
2: I guess you'll never understand [sigh] You weren't born wild. It makes a big difference. You need to be born with warrior blood in your veins, or the feel of the wind in your whiskers. Kitties born into Twoleg nests could never feel the same way.

TIGERCLAW
Tigerclaw is the antagonist of the series. Power-hungry, ambitious and cunning, he hides his dangerous intentions under a mask of loyalty.
Voice: Rougher, middle-aged, deeper, and evil. Give him your best villain voice!
Lines:
1: Oakheart! How dare you hunt in our territory? The Sunningrocks belong to ThunderClan!
2: No, Redtail. ThunderClan will never be beaten! This is our territory!

SPOTTEDLEAF
Spottedleaf is the beautiful medicine cat of ThunderClan. She is wise and caring and skilled in the practice of medicine.
Voice:
Gentle, young, airy, sweet.
Lines
Line 1: [in awe] It was a message from StarClan. Fire alone can save our Clan.
Line 2: Her wounds are deep, Bluestar. But she is young and strong; she will heal quickly.
