Hi,
I’ve got a short character monologue which I’m looking for somebody to help me record. The piece will go on our various webpages, online networks and onto our 24/7 internet radio station (and FM community radio show)
The piece is about ‘mp3 downloads’ and how in the future changes in technology might enable the downloading of illegal DNA instead (enabling the cloning of bands and musicians). Much like the downloading of illegal music tracks, the people who download DNA would claim they're doing nothing wrong, despite the inhuman things they could make the clones do. However the piece is largely comic (with just the odd dark undertone), so is not meant to be taken too seriously.
I want this to be acted and performed as if the person is recording a message on a youtube/audioboo type site; and is trying to defend their actions. It’s easy to imagine that perhaps somebody on a online forum has dared asked them if what they’re doing legal; and this is their way of claiming ‘I’m Not Hurting Anybody’...
I’d like this to be recorded on a reasonable microphone setup, and can be done as either a male or female piece (of any age and any accent). As a thank you for your time, if you let me know your paypal address, I’ll deposit $10 into your account to cover your expenses. To audition for this piece, chose a couple of lines from the monologue and send a 128k mp3 to studio@cornucopia-radio.co.uk. The deadline for this audition is next Sunday (8th July)
You can download this work here: I'm Not Hurting Anybody (http://www.cornucopia-radio.co.uk/I%27m%20Not%20Hurting%20Anybody.doc)
Once you’ve been cast I’ll be back in touch and we can work out the specifics of the performance.
If you’ve got any questions, please email me or leave a message below
