Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for some voice talent for the following project:
Description:
I'm currently finishing an educational children's game, titled "Connectorium". This is a game about systems: the concept that everything around us works as part of a system, and that nothing working isolation. The game consists of 8 levels, each of which begins with a cut-scene which tells a little bit of the story. I'm looking for someone who can narrate the story in a warm and engaging way.
Briefly, the story is about a little girl who wakes up one morning, only to find that all the "connections" in her village have gone missing. She encounters various characters (8 to be exact) who she helps in reconnecting whatever system they are working with (e.g. a farm, a classroom, a bicycle) and eventually solves the mystery of the missing connections. The story is about 3300 words.
I'll provide you with the full script and also the actual cut-scenes to help visualize the situations.
Here is a (older) version of the opening cut scene:

Character/Voice:
As I mentioned I'm looking for a narrator for the story. Originally I was looking for a warm and friendly, senior voice (like a grandmother or grandfather), however I'm not entirely closed to the idea of other age ranges, if you think it fits the part. Also, again, there are at least 8 characters in the story. As narrations go, I'm not looking for separate voices for each, but the narrator needs to give each character an appropriate "flavor" for lack of a better term. Also because this is intended for young children ( 4-8 ), it needs to be paced a little more slowly and deliberately.
As far as accents go, I'm OK with either American or British, but it should to be as neutral as possible.
Audition Script:
That morning Nina woke up to a strange sound. It was like the flapping of a bird's wings, echoing somewhere in the distance.
You see, that was no ordinary day.
Nina's first clue was that her breakfast wasn't ready as usual and mum was nowhere to be found!
*sigh* “I'm going to be late for school” she thought.
But there was no way around it...she had to figure out how to make breakfast!
Format:
Original WAV files would be ideal. 44100hz 16-bit or higher. For audition, MP3 is fine. Please email to poya@manouchehri.net
Budget (Important):
I do understand that this is not a short project (3300 words). I have a very humble budget assigned to this. Please do give me an idea of your expectations in terms of pay so I can make sure it matches what I have allocated.
Deadline:
July 8th
