NOTE: All the spots have been taken for PART A, I will be updating this thread soon regarding the changes that will be made for PART B of THE JADE DYNASTY
Hey there everyone,
I'd thought it would be nice to start off working with people who are anxious to work on vocal projects. I'm currently short-handed with a Halo 3 Machinima project of mine called "THE JADE DYNASTY"
so maybe you could all have a chance to partake in this upcoming Machinima of mine. First off, I'm going to lay down details such as the synopsis of the backstory and then focus on the meat of the story.
Finally, I'll be talking about the cast members that are available to work with.

"NOTE: This is just the Teaser Trailer. They dialogue used in this isn't final and they synopsis has not fully been established yet"
SYNOPSIS:
(This Tales of Equilibria known as The Jade Dynasty is set on the Age of Reclamation (125 years before the events of Wings of Equilibria)
different country/continent as the one set in Wings of Equilibria known as Angero. Angero is a continent that holds three countries known as
Asgard, Tiberia and Damarius. In this new continent however, we set our story in the Grand Desert of Katar)
(Katar is a brutal and unforgiving place with natural sand-storms, quicksand and other geological disasters
surrounding the arid wasteland. Other problems that the country has are the presence of raiders and other bandits as
well as vicious tribes that surround the desert plains. Our story is set around one of Katar’s greatest tribes which is
forming into an empire known as the Crane Clan. Within the Crane Clan we have the Clan leader known as Master Zen. Zen
commands the clan with such efficiency and malice. His first-born son is called Sheng. Sheng continues to follow
his father’s legacy but the events in "THE JADE DYNASTY" will explain how this is no longer the case)
STORY:
Following a disaster with his deceased fiancee and his secession from the grand Crane Family, Sheng adopts the surname
of Jadeye in honour of the love of his life who perished due to circumstances later explained. Sheng Jadeye then forms a
large clan of his own which he calles The Jade Dynasty. Warriors who show no fear and follow Sheng with such fierce loyalty.
Along with his trusted friend Iblis, Sheng and the Jade Dynasty head towards a ruin deep within the center of this massive
arid country in search of an artefact passed down from the Crane Clan manuscripts said to contain great power. THE JADE DYNASTY
follows Sheng's path to both redemption and revenge.
CAST:
(This is a list of the characters that are currently available for Part A)
Chieftain Vein - TAKEN
(MALE)
"You did well... for an insect. You can fluff up your abilities with fancy hand movements but it is
true strength that reigns supreme over the desert"
Chieftain Vein is the clan leader of the tribe known as the "Pure-Bloods" who are part of the Sanguine Alliance (An ancient order in Katar). Chieftain Vein is a brutal
sadistic and easily irritated character who relies on brute force alone. His part in the story comes from the fact that his tribe comes under attack from The Jade Dynasty.
He is extremely abusive to his adviser known as "Artery" often pushing him around and throwing his Hammer in the general direction. He is of different species than
the Humans are and thus treats the former species as being insignificant and puny. Very condescending. In order to nail the part of Chieftain Vein perfectly, you need
to be able to shout clearly. You need to be relentless in how you deliver your lines across as Vein isn't a character that should pause or show signs of being nervous.
He's incredibly impatient and scary in tone as he's achieved dominance of the tribe through fear and power. Try to be as fierce as you can if you are interested in taking the
part of Chieftain Vein. He is of different species so I will be using a vocal pitch effect on the character.
Artery the Adviser - TAKEN
(MALE)
"W-warriors from the desert, sir. We don’t know where they came from"
The character Artery doesn't have much lines in THE JADE DYNASTY but in order to pull off his lines effectively and well, he needs to sound cowardly, subordinated and fragile in
voice. He's a complete contrast to Chieftain Vein. It would also help if you sounded quite obedient when voicing the character. Adding an element of fear and hesitation in the voice
would really help the character as well. Artery doesn't have much of a part in the tribe but has earned his place by being the most intellectual but this is often overlooked thanks to
the ideology of the Pure-Bloods tribe. If you are interested in this part, make sure that you can be quite the lap-dog.
Jade - TAKEN
(FEMALE)
"Are you sure this is alright, Sheng?
Meeting together like this?"
Jade only has one line in Part A of THE JADE DYNASTY but she will be having more appearances in the form of flashbacks. Jade is considered to be a major character and the
ultimate influence to Sheng's quest. Jade was Sheng's former lover but she died by the hands of the Crane Clan which caused Sheng to go on this journey of both redemption
and revenge. Jade is a sweet and caring character who often has a strange sense of humor but this will be later established in the later parts of the Machinima. In this part, she's
quite unsure about the surroundings and often worries about everything that is considered unlawful. If you're interested in Jade's part then prepare yourself to keep working on the
project until all the parts (A, B and C) are finished.
Sindra - TAKEN
(FEMALE)
"That was a rhetorical question, Rhea. You can’t leave your post
without permission from the boss"
Sindra is another one of the minor characters in THE JADE DYNASTY. Despite her low rank in the Pure-Blood hierarchy, she often likes to take charge and enforce rules. She doesn't often
get on well with her partner, Rhea much but they bicker most of time. To voice Sindra, you need to be quite strict and stern. Adding a sign of belittlement in the lines might help but
she's quite stern. She is one the guards that gets taken out by the warriors of the Jade Dynasty along with her accomplice, Rhea.
Rhea - TAKEN
(FEMALE)
"If you’re so worried about this then
why don’t you take over for me?"
Rhea is Sindra's partner in this Machinima and another member of the Pure-Blood tribe. She like Sindra, is easily angered. She bickers at Sindra but doesn't go in fights with her. She prefers to
leave an argument rather then to latch onto it. She's quite moody, blunt and goes straight to the point. To voice Rhea, you just need to be moody in tone.
She is of different species then a human so I will be using a vocal pitch effect on the lines.
CONCLUSION:
I have added emotional cues to the dialogue in the script so you should hopefully see what kind of tone
I want the characters to have at those points of the story. If you are interested in the story and want to try out,
send me a Skype Friend Request (My account is: fear-the-kantus) or send me a Private Message and I will give
you a MediaFire Link to the Script of E-Mail it to you. If you have any more questions, simply leave a reply
to this thread or ask me some on Skype.
