Hello everyone,

I'm here to let you know about a great opportunity for making a fan voiceover for any of the many voiceless characters from the well-known video game Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arcanum:_Of_Steamworks_and_Magick_Obscura). So here is the thing. I've made a tool especially designed for voice acting for this awesome game, and I think that you guys might like it:

Using this tool, you can easily record any dialog and put it into the game with just a few clicks. You'll need to own the game, because the game contains the dialog files. Plus you'll need it, so you can preview the recorded dialogs in-game. If you don't own the this game yet, you can download it for $5.99 at gog.com (No ad intended).

Hello :) Ups, I'm sorry if it looks that way, but I'm not trying to advertise anything here, really... The only thing I'm trying to achieve here is to encourage people, mainly local voice actors and fans of this game, to make a voiceovers for this game. That's the only reason why I made this freeware tool.

There are plenty of voiceless characters in the game, and it's up to you, which one you want to dub. If you want me to choose the character for you, I can do that. But it'll be much better if you actually played the game, and picked a character of your preference. I can also send you the dialog file, if you don't own the game. You don't actually have to own the game, as you can also download the demo version first. It really doesn't matter.

I can make a list of all voiceless characters, with an example lines from their dialogs, if you wish. ;)

Name: Charles Brehgo
Alias: Brehgo
Race: Human
Bio: Cursed ghost/spirit who begs you to free him by killing the priest who cursed him. He's actually very evil, as he killed a whole family of that priest and stole everything from him, but he is trying to trick you.
Personality: Nervous,
Voice Type: Middle-aged or young male
Appearance: See the image below.
Line 1: "I was...cursed by...evil...priest. My name was Charles Brehgo...my friend and I...asked only for something to eat...some sustenance...we were poor, wandering...and he cursed us...my friend cursed with madness...attacked me...killed me...the pain...I am cursed to be held to this realm, unable to be released...please...I need your help..."
Line 2: "Hahahah!...But...I almost had you killing him for me...hahahaaaaagh...the pain..."

Bio: His family was brutally slaughtered by two madmen. He's is a great pain, but he doesn't want a revenge, instead he wants his holy amulet back.
Personality: Polite,

Line 1: "Of course, of course...[This wizened old priest seems to be in some pain.] Where are my manners...I have allowed my circumstances to infect my emotions. I hope you can fogive me. I am known as Arbalah, [he winces] and you are?"
Line 2: "He's dead already? How...sad. Has he sent you to finish what he did not?"
Line 3: "Him and his friend, Fahrkus, I believe his name was, came to my house looking for sustenance, or so they said. After I fed them they terrorized me and my family and ransacked my house for whatever they could find. When they finally found my one object of any value, a sacred, holy artifact, they...killed my family. They left me for dead, as well..."

Bio: Assassin. He's the one who came to the blimp crash to make sure there were no survivors. He looks and acts tough, but he is actually a coward when it comes to actual fight.
