Ok so I'm new here, but I thought I'd get involved since I've got some upcoming projects! I'm an animator, a new one, up and coming and full of ideas and promise! I hope. ANYWAY my first project in which I'm going to require some voice actors is over on deviantART, an Original Character Tournament (OCT) called Project Hades.
I'll give you guys the link to the project (since it's quite extensive and thought through with a fairly big back story and character history) and I'll give it a rundown for those who don't want to read the entire freaking thing.

Description!
So in short, Hades (the Greek underworld) has become a vortex, a vortex for each and every separate soul around. As the different gods of the dead have come to Hades for their own dead, the unthinkable happens, Charon, the Ferry-Man has disappeared. With the Ferry-Man gone this means that no one can now entre Hades.. This also means no one can LEAVE. All the gods are stuck, and until the Ferry-Man is found or the soul that inherited his essence is found, no one is leaving for a while. So this is where my Original Character comes in. In my particular story Seyekrad, my mute OC, is approached by Thoth, an ancient Egyptian deity.. And so, the story begins...
So what am I looking for? Well at the moment I'm looking for 3 Male voice actors and 1 female. All the rolls except for the Narrator are pretty small, only one or two lines. However if I were to be accepted into the OCT then there's a very good chance I'm going to need all the voice actors back again (though that's still 3 months away, so we've got time to talk :P aha).

Personality: (taken from the OCT page) Lewd, crude, loud, obnoxious, and very much used to getting his way. He is irrepressible, irresponsible, and irrational. Yet, somehow, oddly charming in his own way. Especially with young and pretty women. He's a lot like a roguish uncle that everyone is embarrassed around in public, but at home or the bar, there's nobody else you'd rather hang out with. IF you can tolerate the occasional boob squeeze or bum slap, that is. Not to mention cigar smoke! So if this Story were to continue you've got a pretty good idea of what Mr Saturday is like, he's a confident businessman too. In this first little animation he's simply narrating, talking to someone in his club.
Voice: Very Mr Saturday I'd want a very confident voice, preferably deep since the man is black (not trying to be racist or stereotypical, just what I'm looking for). His voice always having a hint of sly happiness. He's appearance is probably around his mid to late 30's so aim for that possible vocal.. er.. area. Yeah. As for accents and stuff, I'm open to brainstorming and anything really.
Lines: Narrator: The mostamazing stories... In my opinion... are when the hero or heroin hasno idea what's really going on. They might have this quest they needto complete, but really, there is so much more at work.
So for this one, he's speaking a bit slower. Remember he is narrating here, so it needs to be quite clear and precise.
Narrator: Thisis one of those stories... I can feel it coming. Feel it in mybones... This story is going to have a one of a kind ending... Andyet.. I've felt something like this before..
Towards the end there is that hint of familiarity and the tiniest hint of confusion or uneasiness.
Dr. Minos [CLOSED]

Personality: (taken from the OCT page) He is solidly built, with a deep, rich voice that exudes power and authority. He is given to dramatic speeches, and clearly enunciates every word, while rarely using conjunctions. He often comes off as arrogant and condescending to those around him, but he is always calm, controlled, and polite. Well Minos is the grand Judge of Hades, and it's partially his fault that all this has happened. His character will only appear a few times throughout the story until the end where it all comes together.
Voice: Well as described there in the Personality tab, he has a deep, rich voice that exudes power and authority. I don't really think it can be better put than that!
Lines:
Minos: … I've let ourguests choose. What happens now... Is up to them. In the meantime Ihave some ideas of my own.

Personality: (taken from the OCT page) Thoth is quiet and contemplative, preferring to ask questions of others than to speak his own thoughts. Thoth is a astute observer, wise and even tempered. He is rarely if ever angry. In fact it is unusual for Thoth to show any emotion at all.
So Thoth is somewhat a major character in my particular take on what's going on in Hades. He'll be with Seyekrad often enough as he finds our Hero quite interesting and finds it somewhat difficult to read Seyekrad at times. Thoth is however a capable manipulator and with just a simple word or touch he can tip people in either direction, as long as it favores an eternal and universal balance!
Voice: So for Thoth I need a very calm voice. As it says level headed. Thoth will show slight emotion, but just that, only slight emotion in his voice. I do want it to be difficult at times for the viewer to see how might be reacting to certain things, however I do want there to obviously be some difference in his voice depending on what's going on (if that all makes sense :S)

Thoth: You madeit! Excellent! I can tell you'll be invaluable to what's going on.Quickly, follow me, I will explain on the way...
Persephone [CLOSED]

Personality: (taken from the OCT page) Persephone has always had a bit of a choleric temperament. She can be waspish, easily irritated, and is not afraid to show it. Being kidnapped just brought that side of her out a little more. Persephone does not take particularly good care of herself. She doesn’t sleep much and has a strange aversion to food, bordering on a full-blown eating disorder. She also has a kind and compassionate side beneath all those thorns, the rose that graces the sharp stem. She is typically the most moved by the pleas of mortals. She knows the pain of sudden separation, having been stolen from her mother and the green fields of the mortal realm early in life. She is very empathetic and will develop maternal-like instincts for those she takes under her wing. It is likely this compassionate side that lead to her eventual affection for Hades. In time, she came to appreciate him and, perhaps, love him.
I think that is enough there for Persephone's personality. However, her character will be similar to Minos's, both not seeming to be entirely important until the very end!
Voice: So Persephone is the first and only female in the audition animation, and she only has one line sadly, but again if this all continues well and good then there will be more work later on! Although she's a god and obviously older, her voice and appearance is that of a mid to late 20 year old. But I'm not entirely picky with her character.

Persephone: Do youthink this will actually work? Letting all these lost souls, wonderabout Hades?
Deadline
So I'd want all the auditions for this audition (audiception!) to be in at least by the 20th of June. I want to get this animation done in a months time, around the beginning of July, so I'd need those auditions in ASAP! 20th the latest.

Just name the file with your character that your auditioning for. I'm not entirely fussy about what format they're in entirely.
Also include in the email if it will be possible within the coming months to continue working as this particular character if you are chosen, this OCT will be on for a while, since the auditions for it close at the beginning of September, so we've got time to work things out! I won't bite, promise. :D
