Hello! After a six-month hiatus, production of the Robotech: The Sentinels radio play series is back in production.

Robotech II: The Sentinels is the aborted sequel to Robotech, which would have focused on the heroes of the first Robotech war-- Rick Hunter, Lisa Hayes, Max Sterling, and the others, as they liberate the planets occupied by the forces of the ruthless and tyrannical Invid Regent.
While only three episodes of the series were produced before it was canned, The Sentinels story was continued as a line of roleplaying game supplements by Palladium Books, novels by Del Rey, and a comic series by Malibu and Academy. However, with the release of Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles, many events of the Sentinels were retconned or simply ignored. My goal is to turn the Sentinels storyline into a series of radioplays, adapted from the books and the comics, that will tie into the new Robotech chronology.
With that said, I am now opening auditions for the first chapter, that will serve as the first half of the pilot for this project. Please record your lines as 44K stereo mp3s, with your name, and the character you're auditioning for to tedbjorndal@gmail.com. The preferred file name format is, for example, ilexgarodan_narrator_audition.mp3. You may record multiple auditions. I will only critique those who wish to be critiqued. In addition, some characters will have a clip of the original voice over. This is merely a guideline-- you may choose either to work from the clip, or you can come up with something completely different! Go crazy! Finally, I present to you the auditions for the characters who weren't cast, or had to be re-casted due to non-communication. Auditions close August 15st, 2012.
Rick Hunter: (Mid-range male) One of the heroes of the First Robotech War, Vice Admiral Rick Hunter is getting prepared to not only command the United Earth Expeditionary Force to the distant home world of the Robotech Masters, he is also going to marry the love of his life, Admiral Lisa Hayes. Rick has matured considerably since we last saw him in the Macross saga. Even though he is a flag officer, and one of the highest ranking officers in the entire UEEF, he still yearns to fly his old VF-1S Valkyrie into combat with the rest of the new blood.

Audition line: "In the first place, you went off autopilot contrary to orders. Second, by doing so, you endangered the entire squadron. And third, you didn't even manage to rescue me! Dismissed!"

Anatole Eli Leonard: (Deep male, angry) The Supreme Commander of the newly-formed Army of the Southern Cross, Leonard is notorious for his hardened inflexibility once he has made his decision. His aggressive approach to war is in stark contrast to General Emerson's careful pragmatism and thoughtfulness.
