UPDATE: Thank you so much to everyone who auditioned! We are absolutely overwhelmed and flattered by the number of people who sent auditions and were blown away by the quality of everyone's samples! Honestly, I wish we had more parts available to fill!
Because of the volume of auditions we received we will not be able to contact everyone who didn't make it, but feel free to e-mail me if you want more information on our decision.
In addition, the game's director has written a letter of thanks to everyone who applied, which I have translated and pasted below:
To everyone who auditioned for Burn your fat with me!!,
My name is figma and I am the director at Creative Freaks as well as the game's planner and producer. Neither myself, the staff or fans of the Japanese version, Nensho!, expected to have so many people interested in being a part of the game and I wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who took the time to audition for this project.
Out of the many samples we received, so many were so superb and so filled with passion that we honestly had a very difficult time trying to narrow the pool down to just three and it pains us to have to have to reject so many skilled applicants.
Our goal with Creative Freaks is to utilize Japanese otaku culture as a platform for a new kind of game experience that is recognized for not just its entertainment value, but for its practicality and usefulness to society. There is something captivating about manga, anime and video games that can keep people absorbed for tens, hundreds and even thousands of hours. I started Creative Freaks with the idea that perhaps we could take just a fraction of that power and us it in a way that is helpful for the individual or society. Burn your fat with me!! represents our first attempt at putting this idea into practice.
Most fitness-oriented smartphone applications focus on enriching the user's workout with functions that augment convenience or efficiency.
Burn your fat with me!! is completely different. We believe that what's even more important to fitness is motivation and having the incentive to not give up, and that there is perhaps nothing more motivating than having someone else there to encourage, scold and push you forward. We realized that Japanese adventure and dating games could provide a platform for this kind of motivation, and we decided to use moe as the fire to fuel it. The result is a new kind of genre which we have dubbed moevation!
We are aiming to have Burn your fat with me!! ready for release this summer. I have never heard of a Japanese Moe App succeeding in the English-language market, but we are doing our best to make Burn your fat with me!! the first one to do so. I hope that everyone here who has shown interest in the game will give it a try when it is released and help us toward making moevation a new part of otaku culture.
Once again, on behalf of myself and all of the game's staff, I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks towards everyone who participated in the audition!
Thank you.

Thank you all again and we will definitely be posting to this community again when looking for help with any future games or projects!
Hello Everyone!
As I'm a first time poster, I'd like to start by introducing myself. My name is Steven Simonitch and I am the Localization Director for Creative Freaks (http://creativefreaks.net/), a Japan-based doujin circle made up of 3 Japanese (2 programmers/designers and 1 artist) and 1 American (yours truly). The group released their first game for the iOS, Nensho!, best described as a cross between a fitness app and a Japanese dating sim, in December 2011, followed by an Android version last month. I came on board early last month to manage the game's localization and, after seeing some member's fandubs on YouTube, I am now calling out to this community for people who might be interested in providing English voice-overs!
About the game
Nensho!, or as we have dubbed it in English, "Burn Your Fat With Me," is a smartphone app that uses Japanese dating simulation game elements to motivate players to exercise. The game is still in development and currently the only exercises available are crunches and push ups, though the running app sequel, "Nensho! 2," should be done by summer or fall.
You can check the homepage (http://nensho.net/en/top.html) for more information, though please excuse the 'Engrish,' it was originally written by my Japanese colleague and I haven't gotten around to cleaning it up yet.
What are we looking for?
We are currently looking for native English-speaking voice actors to play the roles of Mayu Uehara, the sit-ups and push-ups trainer for Nensho!, and Yuki Hashio, the running trainer for Nensho! 2 and Marika Kugawa, who we're not 100% sure what we're going to do with. The games aren't very text heavy, but since this is a dating game, we are looking for actors with attractive voices that fit the personalities of each character. Since we are currently located in Japan, we are also looking for someone who can be available for meetings over Skype, preferably in the evening Japan time.
Characters and Requested Sample Lines
http://nensho.net/jp/img/mayu_img.jpg
Mayu Uehara
Personality: A little quick to overreact and gets jealous even quicker.
"Your friend from childhood but estranged after you moved during elementary school, you and Mayu are reunited after you end up in the same class in high school. She decides to help you get back into shape after being startled by how much your apperance changed since she last saw you."
In terms of anime tropes, Mayu is that sweet, childhood friend who starts to look at you as more than a friend, etc etc.
To hear Japanese voice, check out the gameplay video here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1F2zuercWg).
Sample Lines:
1. "You know, I was so surprised to see you on the first day of school. At first I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me--that there was no way it could be you. But even after I realized it really was you, you, on the other hand, were completely oblivious!" (Spoken in class at the beginning of the game)
2. "Alright, let's get started! Your goal this time is 50 sit-ups in 3 minutes. Don't worry, it should be a piece of cake for your new abs of steel! 3...2...1...Go!"
http://nensho.net/jp/img/yuki_img.jpg
Yuki Hashio
Personality: Straightforward and selfish
"Despite her appearance, Yuki is a very active and strong-minded girl who knows how to get what she wants. Even so, she's self-conscious of her sharp tongue."
Yuki is more or less your tsundere character. I do not have any Japanese voice samples to share at the moment, though they should be available to you if hired.
Sample Lines (I'm still waiting on the Japanese script, so I can't give you much to work with and have to ask you to actually reuse line 2...):
1. "Ah, Sempai, what are you doing here?...and with a girl? (thinking to self) I never thought anyone would be interested in him..."
2. "Alright, let's get started! Your goal this time is 50 sit-ups in 3 minutes. Don't worry, it should be a piece of cake for your new abs of steel! 3...2...1...Go!"
http://nensho.net/jp/img/marika_img.jpg
Marika Kugawa
Personality: Timid and a bit of an airhead
"Former class president and member of the school's gymnastics club, Marika excels at academics and has great reflexes. She's self-conscious about her short height."
The 'tennen,' or proper-spoken yet air-headed blonde. As with Yuki, I don't have any Japanese voice samples to share at the moment.
Sample Lines (again, still waiting Japanese script, so I can't give you much to work with):
1. "So you're Mayu? It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Marika. I hear that you two have been friends since childhood."
2. "You may be aware of this already, but the gymnastics club has been on the verge of breaking up due to a lack of interest. He's practically saved the club by becoming a member. (turning to player) I will never forget what you have done for us."
