I don't know if anyone here cares about a no-name voice actress, but I thought I would put this up anyway. It's my very first demo reel and I would love feed back and/or critique.

This is actually REALLY good. Would you be interested in auditioning for either my movie or my radioplay series?

Aww, thanks so much!
I really only do anime roles, but I suppose if I could see a script then anything is possible! ^__^

Awesome! Here are the links to auditioning information. I can PM you script excerpts, if you like (they're not in proper format yet, but understandable.)
Here's the link to the information about the film:

And here's the one to the radioplay:

It's pretty good. Though for a demo it's a bit too long. People may get bored. For the next one keep it to a minute- minute 30. It's not bad though for your first one. Overall the variety in voice types are pretty good but the acting sounds more like you're just reading the script. But that comes with experience and practice. Definitely focus on the acting.
I wouldn't limit yourself to anime only roles. Anime has a tendency to bring bad acting habits. A lot of emotions may sound forced or flat. I definitely suggest looking at original stuff since you'll be able to develop a character from the bottom up. With anime people tend to mimic or use the original voices as reference and a spring board, it really hurts the acting when that's done.

You do a good list there. I noticed you said that you only do anime voices, well the ones here are perfect for anime characters, but you could also do cartoon characters. As Adam said, don't limit yourself.

I might be able to help with the radio play. I absolutely can not sing for the film and I'm deathly terrified of trying it out so quickly in my VAing experience. Send me a PM about the radioplay and which ones you wanted help with and I'll see what I can do!

Oh wow! Thank you so much Adam! I love honest feedback.
I wasn't sure how long to make it. A few books and websites said to make it under 5 minutes, where someone agreed with you and said only 1 minute, so I was trying to find a healthy medium. If I ever make anymore, I will definitely take your advice into account.
I sounded like I was reading a script? I didn't even notice, but I guess it makes sense since I had just made up those lines on the top of my head and jotted them down quickly without getting used to them. That didn't even occur to me as being a potential problem. Thanks for pointing it out to me!
Oh! And let me rephrase myself! I don't want to be limited to anime roles, I guess what I meant to say was that I wanted to start out with anime roles. Is that really such a bad thing? I've never thought of those habits you mentioned...
Wow! Your feed back was really valuable! I have a lot of things I need to think over. Thank you so much!!!

Thanks! I'm really taking Adam's suggestions to heart! I suppose I could do cartoon characters too. Anime is just what got me interested in being a voice actor so I thought it would be poetic to start in that industry, but I guess it's narrow minded thinking now that I think about it...

I honestly really dig your normal speaking voice. Not a huge fan of English Anime voice acting, especially when it's heavily used in demo reels, but this was passable for me. Your acting still needs some work, but hey, you at least have a better start than most.
I also agree with some of the other points Adam brought up. Still, I think it is not bad at all for a first demo reel. As long as you widen your horizons to other stuff than Anime and put down some hard work, you will probably be pretty decent someday.

My normal speaking voice? You mean from Negima abridged? Actually, my hero voice was pretty much my regular voice except projected a little to sound important (I dunno...)
I actually HATE english dubs of anime myself. But it still looked like a fun market to start out in. Plus a lot of the famous VA I've met at conventions are super nice and I'd love to work with them.
I also can speak Japanese to some extent. I need a few years in Japan to become fluent, but if I work on it, my dream is to become an orginal Japanese dubber (If American's are allowed into that industry...) So I could voice the Japanese dub AND the English Dub! lol xD
Yes, I see that my acting needs some heavy work, now that I've listed to a bunch of suggestions and rewatched my reel a bunch more times. I really should have gotten used to the lines and memorized them instead of just jotting down ideas that came to my head and reading them of a page immediately.
I have a lot to learn and you guys are being so helpful! I hope future demo reels come out better! Thank you so much for the kind comment!

This is really good; great job.
Try to make it a bit shorter though. Usually around 1 minute is good.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions every one! I just redid my demo reel so it has more voices but is only about a minute long! Hope this is what everyone meant!
