Elven Seraphite: Ordinance of the Furies' is an original video game. The story centers around Lilia, who has been brought through time with her memory wiped by the 3 Elemental Furies. The Fury of Balance is dying for unknown reasons, the Fury of Chaos is about ready to abandon the world entirely, and the Fury of Order is trying desperately to keep things together. On her journey, Lilia discovers why these things are happening, and has a chance to set them straight. Project Seraphite is a story driven point & click adventure based around crystal technology and magic. Since I've gotten several inquiries on Lilia already, here is a quick bio and some lines. She should be higher pitched.

Lilia is supposed to be sweet, kind, and selfless. She's a generous, helpful personality to counter balance Kerrigan's (2nd main character) gruff, business-minded sass. Lilia is often a little clueless, but not dumb or senseless; and she usually ends up going with the flow when confused, and cracking little jokes at Kerrigan's expense to tease her. Sorry about that, Michelle was going to be our voice for Lilia, however that has changed. She has a different part now, as the demand of main character was too much for her schedule. We are still looking for a VA to take up Lilia.

I want to thank everyone again for their patience. If I don't reply to your email right away, it's because my inbox is a bit backed up with your replies, and I am taking fair time with everyone's demo reels and auditions. If possible, please be courteous to my poor inbox and don't send a large number of files with lots and lots of lines. Just 1 file if you could, and no more then 4 or 5 sentences per voice type, unless your sample lines are longer.

On another note, before I get asked again... yes, the three children in Belltine (Malcolm, Anara, and Kaelee) are a tribute to Joss Whedon's Firefly TV series, and the movie Serenity. I'm happy you guys noticed. :)

I do have a question about what you said here; A percentage of the profits will be distributed based on lines contributed, after the game is out.

I do not mind if being a voice in the game is just volunteering, but from this statement it almost seems you do plan to pay everyone, depending on ow much they contributed? If that is so, by what method would you pay everyone?

@Kokoro Hane,

Yes, it is our intent to reimburse VAs for their contributions. The actors that have taken parts are signing vocal rights release forms, which is simply giving the rights to use their voice data for a commercial game. Many of the VAs on here don't seem to be in it for the money, which is wonderful, but we'd still like to see that they get something once the game makes something.

Most likely, once the game has been out for a business quarter or two (where the most profits roll in) we will divvy up the income by percentage to all participants, including writers, editors, programmers, musicians, beta testers, voice actors and actresses, graphic designers, etc.

Because some VAs will only be contributing a few sentences, the payment may not be anything special. Other VAs who have large numbers of speaking parts will receive more. The actual payment amount will depend on how much the game makes, but we know that a lot of the people on here are upstart VAs that are working to add to their portfolio, and being able to list our game as a paid commercial project will be helpful.

As for amounts, most indie games make perhaps 1500 a month upon release, going up or down based on if they get accepted as a Steam download, or other major distribution websites, including how good their marketing is. After that first month, profits peak a bit, and then slowly go down hill. Hence, why we choose to wait for a quarter or two before calculating everything and disbursement. Obviously the more our contributors go out and talk about our game on forums and other sites, the higher our sales will be as we reach a greater audience. Disbursement will likely occur on a case by case basis, by mailed check, paypal, or whatever else works.

Ah okay. Thank you for explaining that to me. Personally I do not mind not getting paid, since I am just trying to build up a resume so I can have experience for paid gigs. I'll see if I can get in an audition sometime this week. If not, it probably means I am too busy. But I hope I can help out!

Hello everyone,

Thank you all for your continued patience! I have a small update for you today.

For starters, I want to clarify that we are limiting participants to 1 or 2 characters for a more diverse cast. A person or 2 has been casted with 3 parts, with exceptional natural pitch/accent/tone variation. If you have 2 parts already, you may continue to audition for as many parts as you like, but keep in mind that you may not get them. A few people have auditioned for 10+ parts, and actually changed characters after we found a part they were very suited to.

Next, new characters have been added! Our cast has expanded with open spots, and there may be a few more before everything is said and done. Auditions welcome.

Lastly, to those of you who are already casted: The editor is doing the final reviews on some of the dialogue for quests, and as such the final scripts for chapters are being delayed. If you have a main storyline character, we appreciate your patience very much! If you have a quest NPC, shopkeeper, or normal NPC character, expect lines a bit sooner!

We wanted to let everyone know that there has been a recast, and now the position of Leslie Wellmont has reopened. Also, 2 more vocal spots have been added. These challenging spots are for the mysterious antagonists called Neith, whose VAing will be highly edited with reverb, back ground whispers, and scary sounds such as nails on chalkboard. The other spot is for a Narrator, we're adding a feature to the game that requires a 3rd party that narrates certain events.
