Okay, my last question did not go down so well, but I do have something that is at least interesting

If I'm gonna be a professional VA, does that I mean I'll have to change the way I talk normally as not to interfere with whatever voices I may use. By normally I mean the type of voice I use when I talk to people

I don't understand. So as not to interfere with the voices you'd be dong? What do you mean? It doesn't matter what you sound like in 'real life' as long as you can shape your voice to fit whatever is needed for the character you're playing.

Grant,

With vocal and VO training, your normal speech will change... it happens. That said, you don't need to change your regular voice for regular, casual conversation.

In VO, it's different depending on the copy you have to read

That's all I wanted to know, so I don't have to change my voice for normal conversation. Thanks, that's what I wanted to know

I would only tweak that to be that you don't have to change your voice 'much' if you're playing a character close to yourself in a casual environment. Obviously you're never going to be playing 'yourself,' as you'll be adapting qualities from your character, and using pre-prescribed words and phrases which may or may not be things which you'd say in your everyday life, so that will affect the way in which you speak.

Actually, as a professional voice actor, your words will be so valuable, you simply won't want to talk anymore without compensation.

It's true. When I go to a fast food drive through and order, they have to pay ME for my quarter pounder and large fries.

LOL! True story here...

Early in my career, one of my friend's girlfriends heard my voice in a narration and told her bf that from now on he should just give me the message and have me call her...

Let's just say that he wasn't as amused as the rest of our friends were.

When I go to a fast food drive through, I always order like Peter Griffin.
