Episode 7 of Lonely Boy Studios' production of Final Fantasy XIII will feature the party's encounter with Anima. A reference video can be seen here (http://finalfantasy13ultima.com/ff13-movie-007.htm). These are gorgeous scenes with plenty of pop and pizzazz, but the trouble with producing a dub of this is precisely that pop and pizzazz. There are some very intricate sound effects that you just don't hear every day. In particular, I'm concerned about the sort of revving sound as the gears turn when Anima comes to life (starts at around 1:26), the bursting sound effect at around 4:49, the zapping noise when Anima brands the party (5:22) and finally, the sound of everything crystallizing at about 5:50. Any help on where to find these kinds of sounds or how to emulate these sounds would be very much appreciated, and of course you will be fully credited in the acknowledgements section of this episode. Thank you.

I never realised how heavy episode 7 was going to be. However the last part can be easily done. The original sounds can be used, because no one's voice is covering it.
So the crystallization is simple!

Revving sound: You could use a modified power up sound effect. Now if you're talking about those pillars coming up any hydraulic lift sound effect would probably work.
Bursting sound: Could use a kind of laser burst sound effect and then modify it a little. There may be some fantasy sound effects of bursts that may suit your needs more.
Zapping sound: Hmmm. This one could be more tricky. You could use something more like a beam or laser if you like it that way with some "whooshing" sounds added. Or you could try electricity sounds modified and with the same "whooshing" sounds added. (It's more up to what your looking for that specific one.)
Crystalizing sound: This one I would suggest maybe glass cracking and maybe some wind chimes or glass tinkling together to add the effect of it all.
If I have the time I'll see if I can produce the sound effects I'm talking about.

That's a good point. The only concern I have is being able to seamlessly blend that part with the preceding scene because those two parts do have the music in common. But I've seen the mixing team handle that kind of task very well before, so I'm not too worried.

Yeah, production of this episode won't begin for a while, but I wanted to make sure we had ample time to seek out the necessary resources. So you'll definitely have time if you'd like to try making those sounds. And, again, you will be given full credit for any of your work. At any rate, I'll be sure to direct the mixing team to your suggestions when we begin on it.

You know full well any of us can do that easily.
You've got my Auron dub ready clip. I did the exact same thing there. Some of it was original, some of it was implemented by me
