What kinds of projects would you like to see more of around the board?

Paying.
...does that count as a kind?

Yes. Yes it does because I'm with you on that one all the way.
That and more original projects in general because it seems to me that original projects are being drowned by the amount of fandubs that are coming out.

Maybe more original work, I like seeing things like original audio and visual projects that are promising.
Also more fan visual shounen-ai clips, since full yaoi isn't all age appropriate.
I guess more Indie games (if that counts)
I like the fact that not only might I have a chance to voice in an original game, but I also get to see what kind of ideas people have for their game (story or gameplay wise), and I find that both exciting and inspiring.

Paid.
Outside of that, quality original projects. Not Machinmas, not RPG Makers, etc. Something well made and interesting. I understand it's hard to do, especially with lack of resources, and time, but that's what I'd like.

A Star Wars Project would be cool. (Probably original trilogy based). I've seen a lot of projects that I missed out on due to being newbish. A Zelda, DBZ, Pokemon season 1, Or, dareIsay, Spongebob project would also be cool.
Also, projects that I'm sure will have good editing....... Am I being too picky?

Echoing a lot of people on this on, but yes. More paid projects and original stuff. Projects that actually go through and that are really in depth :) yes.

Well thought out original projects, because Lord knows how many people cancel once they find out it's more work than they thought (though I suppose that applies to any other project as well). I'd also like to hear more realistic radioplays-- not that I don't like the cool fantasy stuff, but some some recent audio projects have been so sincere they leave me craving more.

Definitely more original work that will go somewhere.
Not that I need to be in anymore >.>
Otherwise I'm okay for fandubs still.
And paying... sure why not. I'll hop in the bandwagon - GO FASTER TPR WHAT THE FU-

Hmmmm, I'd say more old series. Some of those old manga/animes are really good, but they don't get enough love ^-^;
I'd say maybe a little less of the popular ones though (But that's other's will, so I really don't have nothing to say about that XD). There is a lot of Ouran High School Host clubs and Bleach (Not that I'm complaining about either one ;])

More originals or clips. It seems lately a lot of the threads that come up are for "full-series dubs" most of which never even get started let alone finished xD;

Agreeing with pickle, mainly for the fact that clips are usually just done between friends. It'd be nice to see some up for audition like it was ages ago. Everyone just sticks in amongst their groups nowadays [I'm guilty of it, too.] Also, stuff that'll get done.
I would say original projects but I've never really had fun with those, personally. Paid work, I honestly don't care about considering that this is just a hobby.

I'm agreeing with everyone above, most importantly the projects that actually get finished xD
Also more games, (original or fan) apart from final fantasy , games that just don't get dubbed that much , like uncharted, resident evil dub or heavy rain. I would love to see those appear in fan visual!

Hm...Captivating original series with potential for sure! Some appropriate-for-all-ages goodness with an intriguing plot and unforgettable characters. Yep, that would be great to bring to life ^^
With fandubs, I'd like to see more auditions for good series/games that there aren't a lot of; ie Elemental Gelade, Sands of Destruction *has plans to fix that* maybe some old school cartoons from the 80's. If it's like a radioplay I understand wanting voice matching so the audience doesn't have to make a big jump of learning the voices to the characters over, but if it's a clip of something that has already been done, I think it would be fun to have more people experimenting of owning the character than imitating the character if you know what I mean ;)
More opportunities for paid work would be nice too, but I've been doing this as a hobby for so many years that it's not as big of a desire. I see the potential of being an official voice more appealing for the money. (Money is still appealing, just being an official voice is more-so)

+1 . . . Couldn't have said it better myself! It doesn't have to be Pixar quality, obviously . . . but something I wouldn't mind showing off in a portfolio (unlike machinima and rpg maker projects).
One idea would be for the admins to promote this site to college/university animation programs. No pay, but some of these up-and-coming animators are extremely talented and need voices for projects, etc. We see them here once in a while, but it would be nice to see more of them.
Anyway, maybe that's a separate thread topic.

That's a great idea, you may want to suggest that HERE (http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/showthread.php?68544-2012-VAA-Proposals) in the 2012 VA Proposals thread since that suggestion would apply to the 4th proposal on the list ;)

While paid projects are always well and good (and of course I would love to see more of that!) I would love to see more of...
Original
I would like to see some variety in genre. We've got primarily action and sci-fi heavy stories and I would like to see a bit more intrigue, fantasy and, dare I say it, romance. It seems a lot of the projects tend to be more "comic book" style or, dare I say it "block-buster" in the sense that they are lots of dynamo and not as much subtlety in which the acting gets to take center stage.
Fan
Someone mentioned it before, but I would love to see some of the older titles get more attention. It's hard finding OSTs for some of the other titles, but I would really like to see more people aim to fandub things that no one else has, rather than simply voicing the characters they want to see themselves play.
More clip dub auditions, since they actually are likely to get done. Honestly I want to see full-series dubs done away with all together. Even if someone wants to aim for a full series dub, they shouldn't even go with it in mind. It's more like "we're going to start with episode 1, and once we get that done, we'll see where we're at." If we look at it that way, I don't see why we can't simply close and remove full series dubs the moment they are posted. They're proving themselves to be unnecessary. If you cast for episode one, and you're ready for episode two, great! Start an audition thread for the characters needed for that! Or advertise your fandub as "clip dubs" and then surprise us all by doing a full episode after the fact...or something. Starting off with a full series from the get-go is just foolish.
OVERALL: MORE SHOUJO! X3 MORE CUTE THINGS!!!

I'd like to see some more psychological/thriller/suspense pieces within the original works sections of the website.
Of course it's tough to disagree with what has been typed before I got here......
More Comic book, Video game material please
