Here we are again! :3
How far are you willing to go with your voice over work? As in moving elsewhere.

As far as I need to honestly. As long as I can take my girlfriend with me :)

Yes. Yes I am. In order to follow your dreams, you must willing to take the risk. I am willing to brave any risk, even moving, to chase my dreams. Even if I fail, I will not regret it because I can say I at least tried. :3

I'm already making plans to move down to Los Angeles, with my job being finalized I just have to start saving up and before you know it i'll be down working as many auditions as I can and contacting an agent with a demo.
thankfully though that move is only about 7-8 hours away

Well, LA's only a six hour drive, so I would say that far. Probably even further if I had the budget. Sadly, I don't right now. One day.

As I don't really have any true ambitions to be a Pro VA....then no....
But if there were Auditions held in my region, and they liked them and wanted more out of me...........then maybe xD

I already have a career and VA is strictly a hobby for me, so I wouldn't be willing to move.

I already moved about 1,200 miles to be close to 'where the work is' ...and then moved back again XD {Still, it was a wonderful experience}
With my current situation, I wouldn't be able to do something like that again untill my husband can do his job online without needing to go into work (which will be in probably over a year) Then if we could afford it, we might be willing to move even overseas in necessary. Depends on the location more than the distance--weather, traffic, etc. Although after we buy a house, we're probably going to stay put since none of us really enjoy the moving process ^^

It's strictly only a hobby for the time being but if I could get the time for it in the future then by all means I will go pro.

Moving to another province to gain voice work before I can get a green card to work in America and try my hardest to get to Pixar.

Voice acting is mainly a hobby for me, but I'm moving right smack dab in the middle of the LA/Burbank area in less than two weeks to eventually get a job at an animation studio if I'm lucky. I don't plan on joining an actor's union or anything, but maybe with all of my SUPER AWESOME CONNECTIONS I can get in to audition at Bangzoom or whatever. I don't know.
Honestly, I'm complacent enough hearing about Lucien's voice over career adventures <3

It really depends. I'd love to do it in ny, but I know I'd have to move to LA for animation. I would only do it if A) I got a Job offer there and could find work with my "normal" job as well B) Don't have any huge debts (hahaha) C) Could often work. Not always, but be connected and trained enough to make it worth it. I don't want to work in LA, do a show or game, and then be stuck for a year or 2 doing nothing.

Well, 2,100 miles so far. The distance isn't as big of a deal as the cost of living. LA was technically closer than Dallas, but I wouldn't be able to support myself there for long.

I'm willing to move my butt from my bed into a home recording booth... And by that I mean a studio at my friend's house where they record for their filming jobs. Otherwise I really have no interest in going pro.

As long as I can afford a place to live, I'll move.

It would really depend for me. I'm going to school for another career so that is my primary concern for the moment while I pursue voice over as a hobby/side income. If by some chance I really got in with the right people and was starting to make a lot of income and progress in my voice acting, then maybe I would consider relocating. That said, I have no plans to move to any of the voice over hotspots and be a struggling artist. XD

Yes! I already have plans in motion to do just that. It goes without saying that I'll do anything in my power to reach my dream.

I'd move out, but probably not on my own. In all honesty I wish to leave with people I trust or people that will accept me recording in the premises. I mean it's kind of embarrassing yelling DIE and tenants think you are crazy. If I ever go down, I wish to maybe join in with some people and rent an apartment. But will I go far to pursue it? Yes.

I am kind of at a cross road when it comes to that. I know a lot of people are moving to LA, but Dallas is a rather large VO market as well! I plan to stick around here for a little while before I move. To answer your question though, I would move to wherever the work is, but it better be near other jobs I can do. I am not naive enough to think I could live off VO work alone anytime soon :P

Seeing as I currently have representation and have been going out on auditions in the Vancouver area, I don't plan on moving anywhere. But I do plan on becoming a full time actor in voice acting and film in Vancouver, Canada as it has a very big acting market in general. I plan to put 110% in getting better at this art. I'm going to do whatever it takes to get where I want to be, and am currently thinking about going to a full time acting program (for voice acting and film) next year.

I've got nothing else to lose, so how's that for an answer?

There's nothing here except for radio, and I don't think I'm suited to that, so I'd move in a heartbeat. I'd love to go to LA or maybe Texas to voice act; hell, to just get away from Australia for a while. The only issues are I am a seventeen-year-old student without a job to save up money. That's a pretty big flaw in any plans I have =P

California seems like a good place for me to get into the gaming industry. ATLUS has a division there in LA. I would also love to move to Korea if not only for a short while.

Hate to admit it, but seems overseas is where the action is if one were to voice act for animation. Otherwise I do what my aunt Sandra suggested and do a radio course for a couple of grand.
This is why I enjoy the innanet, not much moving required. I've been a cheerleader before, so I'd be up for it for a short time at least.
