Chichiri: I also say you should do the jacket. It'd help cover up any boobies you might have too. Plain binding for a shirt as tight as his probably won't cut it.

I generally reuse convention costumes for Halloween. Was thinking of doing gothic little red riding hood though :p.

Not really. I usually pull off something that I feel like. I'm not sure if I'm even going to Yaoi Con this year. <.< (being that it falls on Halloween weekend) Normally, I go to this formal ball in my area. Chances are, I may go in my EGA. What am I going to be this Halloween?

I think I'll go for the good old standby that has never let me down; "That drunk bloke sitting in the corner" fantastic, and all it takes is a bottle of Jacky Daniels. Couldn't be easier. :)

If you go too Star Wars official website they have an online star with lots of outfits and probs and junk.
Course if I spent alot of money on my Jedi costum I gotta use it at every convention so I get the best use out of it.

What's really cool is that the site has a Jedi hooded robe but I wont be wearing the traditional white/tan/brown mixtures like the average Jedi.

Much like Anakin's outfit, black long baggy sleeve shirt with a white shirt underneeth. Over the black will be a light grey vest that V shapes than splits apart near the waist.
I'll use a "Masters" belt for my light saber, a black leather boots and black leather gloves.

The saber style is called "Defiance" which really looks like Anakin's Episode III light saber but more updated to a very modern look.
The EL tube will be a choice of 4 colors honestly....either Neon Green, Blue, Yellow or Red.

That would be my Vader light saber right der....100 dollar deal >< its so sweet I love swinging it around.
Its a very sweet looking saber.

However it'd be coming from a joint called "Parks Sabers" no sounds, and it wont light up or power down like the movie variations. Its just eye candy.
It takes 8-10 weeks to produce after ordering and they're almost 300 dollars no matter what you choose :cry:

So if I ordered it by July I could hopefully get it before Holloween. If not I still have my Vader Episode V light saber which has all the sounds and beauty...just if it rains here I'm screwed....

I suggest if anyone is doing the Jedi bit like so many over so many years and money is no object (....which I guess really isn't) than check out http://www.parksabers.com this place....

Maybe not, but all I do for halloween now is just put on an act, not a costume. I'll wear everday clothes and act accordingly to how I chose to dress that day. Pretty funny, and plus it scores my friends some extra candy, so everyone wins! If I could, I'd dress up as chaos from Xenosaga but that'd never happen.

I'm not exactly sure on the Park Sabers, they utilize a 9Volt battery so I'm guessing the power supply dies pretty quick.
Plus the bulb is quoted to work like the indigo watch lights.......what ever that means.

Master Replica's sabers use to take 6 AA's but they manage to improve sound quality and brightness and cut it down to 3 AA's....not too mention the Blade is 60 some odd LED bulbs quoted to have over a thousand+ hours of life but not recommended to leave on for long periods of time like 8 hours or so.
MR's blade is permantly attatched to the hilt and they strongly recommend you don't bash the blade against anything or test it.
Parks says the same thing but you can get a replacement for 80 dollars at any of the colors they offer.
But unlike the MR's, you can take off the Blade with Parks and use the hilt as decoration....which is cool.

Also I found a semi good website, http://www.padawansguide.com/basic.shtml this site has some pattern ideas and nifty references on creating your own Jedi outfit.

I gave up on having Saya done by tomorrow, so instead I'm going to finish it by Nov 17 when work is having a cowgirl/school uniform dress up day for CHildren in Need. HEHEHEHE They never said it had to be English school uniform, nor anything about sword wielding Japanese...and seeing as I'm doing a wild west one for our wild west night xmas party Saya it is. Or maybe Battle Royale....hmmmm I will think and decide next weekend :D

They'll be used to me doing strange things in no time. I'm going in a pink wig today because it's "wear it pink" day for breast cancer...and yesterday I had purple flowing goth dress just because I'd dyed my hair black the night before. Monday I'll be a zombie, or something like that. Maybe a ghoul if I'm bored of Zombies, having done one for the Sunday.

Co-worker said there was a vader costume at Party City the other day. Well I sneaked out and looked. It's actually a really cheesey looking costume for 99 bucks....when it comes to Vader I like something very close and very authentic to the movies, hence why I'm so in love with the really cool 900 dollar version.
But I did see some things I would have liked to have gotten. There was a Neo costume, but I doubt it'd fit. There was also a strange looking Zombie outfit where you had a mesh face cover which glowed red eyes in a fade in and out way by control, and some other nifty outfits....lots of sexy costumes though for women.

Well I saw some practicle stuff so after work I spent 42 bucks and borrowed some stuff from that co-worker, cause he's obsessed with this holiday right next to christmas....actually he likes Halloween MORE then christmas.........you could say this is his christmas....
