Night at the Office is a Single Player total conversion mod for half-life. More information regarding the mod can be found on the site:
http://www.nightattheoffice.co.uk

I have worked on the mod in my spare time for about 4 years now and at long last it is complete, all except for the dialogue. The roles vary a lot in terms of amount of dialogue, some characters have loads while others only have 1 or 2 lines.

I need both male and female people to fill the available roles, so record the relelvant audition lines if you'd like to apply:

Male (nice): HEY, I'M GLAD YOU MADE IT, DON'T WORRY WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER INTERVIEW, BEING YOUR FIRST DAY AND ALL I WOULD JUST LIKE TO RUN YOU THROUGH A FEW THINGS

Male (evil): ...WE ARE WELL AWARE OF THE EMPLOYEES THAT ARE IN HIDING, TRYING TO STOP US AND WE HAVE A MESSAGE FOR ONE OF YOU.. A MR 'DAVID FULTON'...

------

Female (startled): O I'M SORRY, WELCOME TO PARCEL PASSAGES, HOW CAN I HELP YOU?

Female (scared): HELP US.. WE ARE ON THE 2ND FLOOR... PLEASE HELP US!

EDIT:The audition lines were chosen so I can get a general idea on acting ability, as such both lines are required and to be read as the same person obviously expressing different emotion.

In particular the voices I am looking for are clear and realistic, all the characters in the game are adults and this must be somewhat clear in the voice recording.

The particular process I am going for is that I listen to all the auditions then hand you a role based upon, your ability to act as well as the individuality of the voice.

if you wish to apply please e-mail me your auditions at: darryl.patrick@gmail.com

NOTE: If possible, please save the files as mono .wav files

EDIT: The deadline for auditions is Saturday 7th May

I'm still needing actors for this (both male and female), I've had a few auditions from a few other forums but for some reason no-one seems to be picking up interest here.

If you can help out or indeed can give me some tips how I can get a decent vocal cast together, please do help me.

In an attempt to curb your enthusiasm, I've updated the trailer for the mod, which you can find here:

I feel like this is the only thing i ever say on this board, but...

Is there a deadline?

I wonder if maybe lotsa people haven't auditioned yet bcs. they're just putting it off until you say "okay, folks, only a few days left"? I dunno. That's just how i function. If you don't have a due date, you go to the bottom of my priority list :) No offense, or anything!
In any case, i will be recording again early next week, so if you're still accepting auditions then, expect one from me!

Ahh, this is better. Now i'm getting the kind of quality auditions i'd expect from a forum such as this. Keep em coming guys.

Forgive me Little_Phoenix, I'm new to the forum and what you said now makes perfect sense, I should've specified a deadline. I really appreciate the advice.

The deadline i've decided upon is next week, Saturday 7th May

i think it also helps to read the 'how to post and audition' as well. although u may have already. if that's the case then....

u could give some character info or if its two seperate women something like

female 1:
female 2:

so we know its not the same person.
plus a voice range of 'high, medium, young or old' would help as well.

tell us 'exactly' what you want to hear, how u want ur characters to come alive as and then we'll try our hardest to make it happen ^_^

Thanks mystique, some nice advice there.
