A group of people have gathered in the room. As people whisper nervously, someone takes the judge's bench... but it's not the judge...

She scratches her head nervously.

"Um. Order! Order! The court is now in session."

She looks around at all the faces that have turned towards her, gulps, and looks at her feet.

"Well you see.... We're a little low on staff so I'll be taking over this case. My name's lybi. Let me explain the case. 9:52 PM, Expose Park: the victim, a 25 year old janitor, died due to a single gunshot wound to the heart. We have determined that there are multiple people involved. There's not very many details at the moment... But you all have been identified as possible suspects due to various reasons."

She flips through the papers in her hands.

"Hm. We don't have enough staff to provide all of you with lawyers right now although I can see that some of you are actually lawyers. So things are going to run a little bit differently today."

She smiles.

"I'd like you all to go ahead and talk amongst yourselves and decide who to... kill off." Her smiled widens. "I'll uh be working hard over here in this corner on my laptop, not stalkerishly watching over your guys' shoulders or anything..."

"Lastly, I have a few announcements. Due to various circumstances, Bree and Kennidy have been confirmed as innocent, so they will not be participating in this trial. Also, I know some of you guys know each other, but don't be fooled. Some of you guys are murderers, despite how innocent you seem."

It is now DAY 1. You have 1 No-Lynch ticket. With 14 people, it takes 8 to auto lynch. Day will end at 10 pm PST.

We need to make sure that we have every piece of evidence we can possibly get before we make a conviction. Hopefully someone will have an idea of who to vote for, whether it be a no lynch or a person. I am going to wait for a bit before I vote though. I really would rather not lynch an innocent person.

Well, what all evidence is there? Surely enough noteworthy for the public, and us as well! Or perhaps some pictures of the crime scene!

However, I don't think we should rush into a no-lynch, they never really help. I say we leave a random lynch up to the mod, and hope for the best. Perhaps tomorrow some new evidence will pop up for us to see! :D

I can randomize it if you prefer that, but there are a few people I'd like to keep around based on RP as well. Of couse me being me, I'd go for the no lynch, but anything but leaving it to the mod works at this point.]

Doing things that way allows for bias, though. That's why I suggested letting the mod do it.

Allowing any one person to 'randomize' isn't a sure thing. We have no way of telling if someone is mafia who offered to randomize. The safest way is to allow a completely random one at the mod's power. We cannot assure who is or isn't town among ourselves.

I know it is a huge risk to kill on the first day, but we still have -some- chances of hitting mafia, while if we just no lynch, we have absolutely NO chance of getting them. Odds are that we hurt ourselves, yes, but there is always the chance that we get one of them. Until we get more evidence as to who is guilty, it is always a stab in the dark, one that could be orchestrated by mafia. So I feel random lynch is the best way to go...

As the dear Kelsey Kay says, at this point an unbiased lynching isn't the best approach. But.. *giggles* who is to say the ones you know are safe anyways?

You say survival is #1, and yes it is. But how is voting for someone who might turn out to be town when many others were content with the random chances going to look?

Random bears a chance. Once we pick ourselves, our fates are sealed with that person. Unbiased is the only way we can approach this until we can develop some information as to just who isn't trustworthy and who is...

I am not going to hop on any bandwagon for the day. My choice stays with a random...

I'm not saying I can tell you who's safe. I can just say that there are certain things that seem logical about this. Unless Lybi is completely screwing with us... or even if she's not, I'd like to see more about certain people.

Hm, well, it seems that we're in quite a bind. Without any evidence other than what the "judge" has told us, I'm afraid that voting for someone randomly would be a mistake. My peers, colleagues, and fellow suspects of this heinous crime, I ask you to really think before any action is taken in such a serious matter. If there's a chance of sentencing someone innocent, someone who may even end up being a huge help to us in the long run, to death before this trial has even really begun seems hasty and unwise, not to mention unjust. If we wish to uphold justice, I believe that we should wait until we have enough evidence to convict someone who we know is guilty. After all, everyone is innocent until proven guilty; if we start killing off the innocent willy nilly, then we are no better than the murderous scum we are fighting to keep off the streets.

Now, I know that many of you may think it unwise, but I am going to Vote: No Lynch. Yes, it's true that we run the risk of some of our own being taken out tonight, and yes, it is also true that with no lynch we eliminate the possibility of taking out a mafia member right from the get go. But if we are to truly be able to call ourselves defenders of justice, then this is our only viable option at this time.

Well, I'm not going to vote anyone off. And to be honest with you, Kelsey, I've always been a person of unbiased voting. If my name had ever came up, I would have voted for myself.

Also, just saying that you aren't mafia doesn't prove anything. It's like putting a box in someone's face and saying, "There isn't a black mamba in here." The person doesn't know until the box is opened. And if there is a black mamba in the box, the person only knows about it for like 5 minutes, before they die...

Well I for one am usually not for a no lynches, but if it comes down to a no lynch or a random lynch I will go for a no lynch. My reasoning is that if we do decide on a random lynch, depending on the mod, they may just use the no lynch ticket. It has happened in past games, and I would rather just say no lynch rather than waste all of this time arguing which way is best. (we all know it's my way anyway xD) With that I vote: No Lynch

Um, actually... I think the murderers would love a no lynch even more, because there's no way it will hurt any of them. One of the best ways to gather evidence is to put someone on trial, isn't it? And you don't know if a person is innocent or not until they're, um, dead.

It's the only information we'll get that we know one is one hundred percent true... 'cause one of the murderers can just as easily say "so-and-so is guilty" or "so-and-so is safe" as one of us good guys.

I don't really know... I'm just a kid! But that's what it seems like to me. I wish Mr. Nick and Mystic Maya would help explain things to me again.

The potential suspects start silently filing in one at a time, escorted by a member of the police force. lybi is sitting in the judge's chair absorbed in a game of cat's cradle.

A police officer suddenly appeared at the doorway and dashed down the aisle, barely dodging the witness stand in time.

"lybi! lybi!!! fadedphantom is dead!!"

lybi looks down at the officer. "... Are you sure?"

"... Yes. I'm sure. >_>"

lybi smiles "Oh ho! What an interesting development." She looks around at the confused suspects. "Well it seems something happened to you tonight. I guess if you don't want to die, you better find out who's guilty today."

She goes back to her cat's cradle game. The suspects begin to chatter nervously amongst each other.

They were interrupted by another police officer running down the aisle shouting. This time, he yells "We found her, ma'am! We found her!" Sure enough, he is dragging someone along.

lybi stares down at the newcomer. "Welcome Dabiu. I'm glad you could make it."

I also forgot to put this in my last post. I believe someone has already stated this before, but the chances of hitting an innocent is much higher than that of a mafia, so it wasn't that big of a risk for him.

I'm sorry my friends, I was recovering from the attempt on my life and did not have the energy to speak. But now that I do, I will tell you what I know, which is, sadly, very little. Late last night, I stayed up to continue going over what we knew and try to make some sense out of it. Becoming tired, I decided it was time to turn in, and so I made my way to the elevator. Unfortunately, inside there was an ambush awaiting me, and, as I was still fixated on the case and therefore distracted, they easily overtook me. I'm afraid that I did not see my asailents' faces; all I know is that they were quite strong, and it confirmed my suspicions that we have a multiple killers in our midst working as a team. I managed to deceive them by holding my breath and playing dead, but still, it is a miracle that I survived; I believe someone may have been looking out for me, and if that is the case, I thank you, whoever you are. My initial suspicious WAS (and still is) Dabiu as a serial killer. As you can see from the list, first night only ONE kill was attempted (and didn't go through). Either it means second killer was inactive or didn't exist HOWEVER pretty much everyone was active except for Glan. Next, Dabiu enters the game. Again, no kill that night. However, in Day 3, when Dabiu was being suspected (before the bandwagon to tylerdurden), Dabiu never showed up to defend herself AKA inactive. Next night, TWO PEOPLE die.

I think people didn't die Night 2 because of Crossfire's ability (that post kinda gave it away.. ) And I don't think Glan is our guy (the only person inactive the first day) since he's missing now (just like tylerdurden..?) so I'll have to go with Dabiu. (Note, this kinda only works if Dabiu started being active from Night 3 ie inactive up until then so it's still a big guess). I guess I'll have to start this one and Vote: Dabiu.

I know exactly who one of the murderers is. That would be the one and only Kelsey Kay, the serial killer. She doesn't want the town to win. She doesn't want the mafia to win either. Instead, if I remember correctly at the beginning of the game, she said that her "self-preservation" was the most important thing to her. She said this after she received her role.

She tried to throw us off the scent with a little statement after day one began about how "I'm not dying first this game. And with my luck that's exactly what's going to happen." page 7

My suspicions for Dabiu: I associated her inactiveness with the no-kills at night. However, looking back, elad's inactivity with no kills matches much better. (Elad, I know your computer has been busted but you are here today, and there were 2 kills the previous nights when there wasn't the nights before.)

Suspicious for Kelsey Kay: I don't think she's serial killer, but possible mafia. She started a random vote first day (but changed later) and participated in the other lynches which led to the death of JusticeGuy and TylerDurden. I would like to see her statement however, as this isn't DECISIVE evidence. If elad isn't SK (and really is a Town), then by "Kelsey's files are missing" I take it she is a possible mafiaso.

I've always been a fan of no lynches, but all I wanted was a little teamwork, so I thought I'd meet them halfway with a random lynch. Turns out that didn't work so well either... ;____;

2. I don't know much about elad, but I'm sure of one thing~ I know who he is, of course! Most of you do, by now... I can't be sure of his affiliation, but I know that he's done a lot for me, so I won't vote him out unless we have some cold hard facts!

3. As I've said before, of course I wouldn't have a file. What would you put into a person's file? Background? Social Security? ID and registration? I don't have any of that... ;____;

And now for the juicy bits~

4. I haven't been able to do much... Because of my... "condition", you see. But I have seen some weird things going on at night. Night one and night two, I didn't get anything, and didn't submit anything, respectively.

5. However... On the third night, last night... I was just sitting in the police station, where I normally sit, looking out the window. I saw a figure approaching the building... I saw her hair, and knew right away it was that loud photographer. I got really excited, maybe she was gonna take my picture for the LAPD's newsletter~! As she neared the door... She started to bend over! Walking slower, and slower, she suddenly collapsed! Not long after, another figure came by, checked her wrist, and then slipped something shiny into her pocket. I couldn't see very clearly, but it I immediately thought of this!

Soooooo, yeah. Elaboration for effect, but that's the gist of it. Maybe the double kill was like a poison effect, where they tried night two, it just took a while for it to actually get her. But that's about it.

As for evidence, I unfortunately have one. However I have been watching you all very closely and I too have become suspicious of Kelsey Kay. Not only has she repeatedly urged us all to vote for people who later turned out to be on our side, but the fact that she is now missing on the same day someone else has been murdered is quite suspicious. Nah, depends on the mod really. There are also more roles besides the detective and doctor. You don't know how many of each role there is until the mod reveals it after the game ends.

(ooc: Sometimes there's more depending on how big the game is and how power-happy the mod is. This was quite the big game, I wouldn't be surprised if there were two detectives.)

When you say "game", you probably mean the video game, nya? So you're saying they picked up the clue that he was some sort of investigator when you mentioned it? Now that I think about it, they've only gotten one "big" character so far. However, the first night was Edgeworth though, right? How can that be explained? (Although I do remember fadedphantom making pretty big posts the first night, maybe it was just really noticeable?)

PS: I'm still bothered by Kelsey Kay's mention of "slipping objects". Yet she is the only person to have mentioned this. Seemed too elaborate to have been made up, but I suppose she was trying to defend herself.

We need to end this today! I know I have said this before, but after the fight I have put up today, I am on the top of the mafia hit list. I have given you four people to choose from, so that you will not doubt among yourselves. Gavin, Glan, IntoRapture, and Essie are all of your suspects. I suggest going with a double lynch on Glan and IntoRapture, then decide between Gavin and Essie. Any smart townsperson would agree that if we accidentally killed two townspeople through a double lynch and then the following night mafia kill, we'd have lost our number advantage after losing 3 townies. I do mostly agree with your suspect list, save myself and maybe one other person, but a double isn't the way to go.
