Well, it's almost been a year since I joined the VAA and I've been fortunate enough to make it into some projects that saw the light of day. :sweat So, I figured with my One Year AnniVAArsary, it was time to whip up a new demo prominently featuring voices that were actually in productions, along with some of the favorites of my old demo reel. So here we go!

Dude... that was fucking cool. I'm so glad to see your new demo, Tri. I sense a lot of similar or the same voices, but it's not too bad, because you're using them to portray a different range of emotions. That's good, I think. The range you do display, though, is impressive. :) I like this. ^^ Great job.

Well maybe if somebody ever went to the store and bought the GINGER like I asked, I could put it in the demo!! And by "bought the GINGER," I mean released the damn clips!! DX

Thank you kindly, lady! Wouldn't have been possible without your wonderful mixing! :)

Man, talk about good job. I had a lot of fun listening to this. Aside a few voices that sounded a like I have no reason to nitpick. Nice job TPR!

Hey, you have a really nice voice, built for animation in my opinion! This demo was pretty good. The mixing was great and I liked that there were no pauses between clips.

There are a few voices where I thought you could have had a bit more expression in your voice. This was mostly seen in the mechanic. You seemed slightly monotone and really bored with that character (I don't know if you meant it that way) Try to put levels in when you talk. Express them at different points of your voice when you talk. (I really hope that makes sense, its really hard to explain on a forum message ^^; Not only that, but I've been told that kind of voice/character isn't good to put at the beginning or near the beginning of the demo, as it sounded really boring. It's good to put a really energetic voice at the beginning to get the listener really interested. This is an animation demo after all, it can be goofy and over the top once in a while too!

One more thing: I would really like it if this demo had longer clips. You can keep some of the shorter ones thoughm, as not all of them have to be extremely long. However, the majority of your clips only showed a few seconds for each voice. Because the clips are so short, there isn't much character development heard in this demo which can be a bad thing because some people might not think you can act. I've already heard you in a number of productions so I KNOW you can act really well! Show it off more! This demo showed your range really well, but i didn't show your acting ability enough in my opinion. What you should do is cut some of the voices in this demo that sounded the same and just put in longer clips. By doing this, it not only interests the listener because it sounds like something from the radio or TV, but it also shows off that acting talent you definitely posess!

Again, love the voice! Keep at it. You have so much potential and I hope to keep hearing you in more projects. It was really an honor to work with you in GAME. !

Oh wow! Thank's for the really thorough critique, bninjah! It's much appreciated! I'll definitely keep that in mind for future demos, and I may re-edit this one if some other projects I was in come out soon. I'll defitely keep that advice in mind! Seriously, thank you very much! :)

Alright, there are a few odd choices here. First of all, you featured 3 Emerson lines, 2 Daniel lines and 2 Asura lines. To me, this felt really odd because even though these lines had different emotions, it was still the same voice(s). It's one thing if a person has a limited vocal range and that causes his or her voices to sound similar, but here you are actually presenting what should be the exact same voice multiple times in your reel! Why would you do that? They're three distinct voices from eachother, but hearing, say, Emerson show up three times in this reel- which is already kinda on the short end of the spectrum- feels like some kind of filler clip. I think it would've been better to feature single, longer clips of these three characters, rather than have their voices reappear later on in the demo.

Secondly, most of the demo-specific lines if not ALL of them were directly from your previous demo reel. The lines aren't bad, and they certainly show off your range... But it, too, makes it feel like those clips were kinda filler-ish in nature. Like you didn't have time/bothered to record new lines for this demo. These lines DID, however, stand out from the rest since they were longer than the average voice clip in the reel and because of that they felt to me like the most memorable voices of the bunch. ...Yes. In my opinion the most memorable lines from this new reel of yours came from your old reel.

You show off good talent, but these clips are way too short, man. They're over before you can get any sort of deeper emotional reading or connection with the voice before it moves on to the next. Also, starting off a reel with two low-energy, kinda brooding voices doesn't make for a good start. You'd do better with something catchy, easy-to-remember and high-energy for a first line to get the listeners hooked on your voice.

I can see that you've got talent for this and I've heard you in a bunch of different projects so to me this demo doesn't really do you justice. You're better than this, so show it! :3

Hey man, nice job! If you are available for scouting, I would love to include you in my original radioplay! But only if you're interested! :D
