After Sakuracon ended and I returned home, I decided just for fun I would check on the Kumori Con website.
If you don't know what Kumori Con is, this is the only anime convention in Oregon. It's been around for a number of years from what I heard and was originally stationed in Eugene home of the Oregon Ducks Football team.
However due to some sort of reason Kumori Con moved into Portland where its just a few miles away from my work.
Last year was ranked in my opinion as a pretty blah convention with a small dealer room and overly stuffed attendance in a small hotel...the Marriotte was not a prime choice.
It appears this years con will still be held in the Portland area again but at a much larger hotel, the Double Tree by the Llyod Center district which is a rather impressive looking place with the Mall right next door.
Hotels are rather meek in Downtown portland sadly, unless you use the ones in the Airport area which is still some considerable milage from the Double Tree.

I know I didn't do well advertising this, but honestly, I'll give this place one more shot and if it ends up for me being a drag like last years then screw it :P
Apprently the hotel is rather spendy, 100 dollars a night but looks like a huge hotel, use to pass by it now and then cause of work. But its been several months since then.
I hope alot of you in the northern Cali-Southern Washington area come along so I have something to do.
Possibly this year I'll be cosplaying as something and not just jerkin around wasting my time.
Pre-reg is still available, and rather cheap till May 31st at 30 dollars.
