When is the best time for you to record and why?

Tuesday nights, because my parents are out and my sister has night classes, so I have the house all to myself~

Usually, it's an hour after I get out from school on Tuesday and Thursday, if I'm lucky. Or Friday morning. My cousin and aunt aren't around to bug me then.

There's really no particular time for me, per se. When I have the opportunity, I just do.

But more often than not, I seem to have more time during the weekend, since I don't have any extracurricular activities during the day.

The only times I can record are between 1AM to 4AM. My family doesn't support me doing voice acting, so I can only do it when they're sleeping.

How do you manage to do shouting lines if you have to keep it a secret? o_o


As for me, at school the best time to record shouting lines is Friday afternoon, in my dorm's lobby. Nobody's ever there and it's a quiet room, so I get little disturbances (just gotta pause if someone comes in the stairway), and the room has fairly good acoustics too. For non-shouting lines I basically do them on the weekends ^^;; Daytime, late morning or early afternoon. Weirdly though I tend to audition at night?? XD;; Random, yes.

At home though, pretty much anytime during the day, and when I can manage to get our pet bird to either shut up or be put into the next room temporarily so she doesn't chirp away in my recordings XD;;

usually fridays, my mom and dad are gone all day paying bills >:3 or tuesday and wensday morning while my mom is still asleep, she is upstairs and can't really hear me ^^

Nighttime. My family runs a business and it's a net cafe, and I don't have my own computer so I have to use the computers in the net cafe. I would surely love to record at daytime, but meh, so many people, so many noise. ._.

I start recording around noon when I don't have school because both my parents are working. When I don't have time or have school, I'll record after 6. My parents are used to hearing me yell in my room so I don't have to worry about disturbing them. :)

I record and produce when I'm alone in the house... and when I feel that I need to finish my VA work. This way, to me, it brings a ton of momentum in me that I'll be able to finish the projects.

usually afternoons and weekends, since I have school on weekdays. and my dad know I'm doing voice acting and have nothing against it so I don't have to worry about him being home, but if I'm gonna do some really screamy line I still prefer it when he's not home. luckly it happens quite often that I have the house to myself. so I don't really have a problem finding time, energy's a whole other thing ^^; sometimes I slack 'cause I'm too tired X3

Usually from about 4-6ish is a good time for me to record. Somewhere in this block of time, my mom'll go to take care of the horse, and my dad isn't home from work yet, so I'll have a pretty solid block to record. Every now and then though, I'll have a really long production, and it won't be enough time, but usually I get by.

Technically, I can record any time but I usually only record on Mondays since I have no college on that day, so I have the whole day to myself. I can also record on Friday mornings since I start college in the afternoon, but I'm a sleepyhead so it doesn't usually work out... xD

During the school year that tends to be using the theatre library in the evenings, because all the books really muffle any room noise whatsoever. It's a really acoustically nice space.

Beyond that, it's all up to when I have a workload that I can punch out and feel up to getting through.

I usually have dinner and relax a bit first to unwind from the work day. This generally means that I start recording around 7:30pm to 8pm or so and work on my lines until 10:30pm or whenever I feel it's getting late. I have upstairs neighbors, but they've never said anything about my voice acting, even when I'm doing maniacal laughter or something.

Sometimes I get lucky and no one is home when I get home from school, but now it's summer and my dad goes to work and my mom is out shopping, I tend to get the house to myself every now and again. When I can't record, I think of things I can record when I have free time again. :D

Whenever my uncle it out of the house. I doesn't matter if my mother is home because she could care less how much noise I am making. My uncle who lives with us however is a totally natzi sometimes and I have to be quiet as a mouse when he is home. He usually goes out two to three nights a week.

The best times for me to record are early Fridays and Saturdays. Friday I have a massive window because my father doesn't come home until about 5, and Saturday I have until about 1. I don't like to record too early because I like to have breakfast, wake up and warm up first. My father isn't really all that bad, and I could care less about recording with him there, but whenever I need to record seems to be the days he turns the TV up really loud, or yawns and just makes noises like some kind of bear lol.

For me, the best time to record is on the weekdays, usually in the afternoon sometime.
Recording on the weekends is difficult for me as that's when the rest of my family is around, so it can get a little noisy. And I usually go out to run errands on the weekends so it's more difficult for me to work in time to do it.

And while I do sometimes record in the mornings, I usually do them in the afternoon. There's more time in the afternoon and most of my college classes are in the morning, anyway.

for me its Tuesdays and Thursdays because parents are at work and nobody in the house so I can scream at the top of my lungs and get a better performance out of myself.

I always record on Friday mornings because I have a spare first period that day, which means I don't have to be at school till 11:00. My parents go to work, I have 2+ hours free, no risk of interruptions. It works really well.
