Sorry no cosplay here beyond this point.

No, really, I'm looking for some advice. Prom is next week. May 8th! The theme is Mardis Gras. So of course everyone is gonna be dressing all out there and stuff.

I picked out my dress.

PROM DRESS A'HOY (http://tinypic.com/r/2eec38z/5)[/b]

I chose a shiney gold one because gold is a popular mardis gras color.

Okay, thats settled. BUT I still need shoes AND a good hairstyle.

For shoes, I really don't want heels...at all. Because I'm too boyish to walk right in them [lol] and plus, I'm a bit tall and I don't want to look even tall-er. I was thinking maybe wearing some nice gold flats or sandals.

Something like [out of style, but idgaf] gladiator type sandals

or some type of gold flatts

and now heres the hair style part of it

I'm obviously getting extensions since i cut my hair recently. So I was thinking of getting styles such as

Yeah. Very Lady gaga. But I wouldn't be using braids. x:

Or take the scene kid route.

I need help choosing. So if you have an eye for what looks good, let me know what you think. Please & Thank you.

I think the bow hairstyle would probably fit the dress more. Though I'm not sure if it'd work as well without the braids. Would you be open to other hairstyles?

As for the shoes, either one works, really. I personally looove the flats, but like I said, either works~

XD I actually had my prom 2 weeks ago.

My best advice is to do whatever you feel hot in.

Also remember that you're going be running around and dancing and mingling. I think the bow hairstyle or something where your hair is off your neck would work best and be the most functional at prom. This is mainly due to the face that when you dance you'll get hot and having your hair up like that will help you keep cooler. I did my hair all curly and up and even though I only had a few curls that fell past my shoulders I still felt pretty warm. As for the shoes I'd recommend the sandels that way you could paint your toenails and get like alittle design on them or something cute like that. Plus with the style it wraps around your ankle and so you wouldn't have to worry about them falling off during the night plus it'll also be another way to keep cool since your feet also release alot of heat.

XD Ok hope this helps.

Cosplay as Tiana. el er elz.

No seriously, Mardi Gras is gaudy, and that Disney flick you obviously love will mesh perfectly. I think I saw her in a leafy number that had prom written all over it. Gave me night terrors.
