Audix OM-2 Dynamic Microphone. I want to get the Samson C01U, but my mic works just fine. It's a gem, although the mic is a bit too warm and the output is significantly weak. Someday I'll get a preamp. Someday.... :)

I use a Plantronics Audio 300 microphone. It's not anything fancy, but gets the job done and only cost me a couple of bucks when I got it.

My point of view is pretty much on the same page as Cruea. This is a hobby of mine, not a career. At one point I thought about it and I still do, but until I decide if I will attempt and purse it further, what do I need to spend $70 on a mic I might use once and a blue moon?
