This is one of the HARDEST castings I EVER had to do. I recieved everyone's auditions (including Swift's and Taryn's, both of which were VERY good). I'm impressed with everyone, and hope that those of you who were not casted would consider auditioning for other female parts in this book in the future.

I will be sending out the script later for the new cast members.

Yes, indeed! As far as I know, this is one of the few productions that no one else has tried (not seen anyone else do a Dune radioplay). My goal is to eventually do ALL the books (yes, ALL) and have them all available for download, or if it's popular enough, I'd let people mail me blank CDs and mail them back with the product burned on them. (Free, of course, since I don't own Dune by any stretch.)

It's a very ambitious thing on my part, though... there are three main books, plus two additional books by Herbert himself, PLUS the books by his son!

And you know what's funny? I have no shortage of male voice actors. I need the girlies. I know so few girls nowadays... ^.^;

I was checking this out yesterday... I'm still deciding whether or not to audition. I'm trying to decide if I wanna try out for the main person lady... because I can't do the other one... but I dunno if I'll be able to make all the deadlines. o.o Well, we'll see what happens.

I am usually pretty reasonable on deadlines, though.

I'm simply trying to emphasis the importance Irulan plays--it's mildly unusual, since she's a very bit character otherwise, but she's got her quotes littered throughout the opening of chapters and she narrates the beginning in both the movie and the miniseries, so she seems the ideal choice for narrator.

I'm thinking of revising my rule regarding Irulan to "If you do not meet the deadline for the specific chapter, I will record your lines myself, and if you still get the lines in, I MIGHT remix it with your voice instead of mine." and allowing for that once, but if it happens again, recasting. Or something like that.
