That's right. We all know Tim Burton is amazing at what he does so I've brought together a few of the characters from his movies for this mafia to celebrate Tim Burton's greatness.

(sorry intro is kinda lame but I wanted to get this out quickly so I didn't have much time to come up with something better)

Rules:
1. No talking outside of the thread unless your role specifically says that you may do so.
2. If you are inactive for three days (72 hours) then you will be modkilled.
3. Role claiming is not allowed.
4. Role playing is allowed and highly encouraged.
5. All votes must be bolded and must be in before the end day post or they won’t be counted.

I have 10 spots on the list right now but that's just because that's all I felt like putting on there right now. I'm gonna let sign ups run for a bit and then we'll see how many people we get and then go from there.

The mayor steps out onto the stage and looks out at the odd assortment of characters that live in her town.

"Ladies and gentleman, welcome to today's town meeting. I have called this emergency meeting to let you all know that I received a letter last night telling me that there are those among us that are going to start killing people starting tonight. We must figure out who they are and lynch them before too many people's lives are taken. We will be having town meetings every day where people can discuss and bring forward any information they may have on who these killers are. We will then vote on who we think has the highest possibility of being one of the killers and they will be lynched."

Everyone looks around at each other with inquisitive looks in their eyes and the discussion begins.

I think you all fail to realize that someone must be killed today.

There is no free lynch tickets that we are currently aware of, no day zero, just a town full of people with no information about what we're capable of doing in the night.

Whatever we decide must be random in some sense, as it's the first day, and we know nothing of our fellow townsfolk. JusticeGuy was decided when I put the numbers 1-10 into random.org, and number 3 popped out. Nothing more than that.

I despise random lynches as much as the next person, but on this, the first day, I'm afraid it must happen. As I've said before, I won't leave it up to the mayor of our town, as I'm not ready myself to lie down and die just yet. As for the music... the only theme I hear is my own, and I can assure you, it is that of a least villanous nature.

In my humble opinion, anything goes on day one. We have no reason to believe any one person more dangerous or safe than another. Activity cannot even help us, since we have no night actions to gauge it by. Day one is a sort of indicator from which we may hopefully determine which people are serious/remembered the game.

The town wakes up to sirens wailing in the distance. They all come out of their homes dressed in their sleep clothes, wiping the sleep from their eyes, and looking around with sleepy expressions on their faces. Upon hearing the news that elad was attacked last night and left lying in a pool of his own blood everyone instantly wakes up, gets themselves cleaned up, and heads to today's town meeting.

"What happend to elad last night was a tragedy but we should all be thankful that he is going to live and no one was killed last night" says the mayor.

Everyone looks around and can't help but agree with what the mayor has said.

"Let today's discussion begin!" the mayor proclaims

As everyone gathers for today's town meeting they can't help but see the joyful look on the mayor's face. Ello, that was quite a scrape we had there, oh my, we have been quite busy haven't we haha.

well, in light of what has happened i have one thing to ask.

Wait, how is this possible? Mafia didn't kill anyone last night? Why would they do that? I'm not saying that's not awesome, seeing as that we've simultaneously lynched two mafia and not a single townie has been killed (hallelujah - such a miracle is never going to happen again), but what on earth is going on here?

Maybe mafia is all gone, but we have an inactive serial killer. or it's possible that someone is a neutral. There is also the possibility that mafia was blocked by someone else in the game.

I knew that this would come back to me, the moment I found out he was mafia. I assure, I did not know that before the day had ended. I realize that all you have is my word, and that that is not enough. But I promise you this much, I am no killer. I am far too...relaxed for that.

I only said what I did for exactly the reasons I stated. His name only has three letters, and three is a glorious number, and I found the reasoning's stated were insufficient for voting for him. Not only was I shocked to find out his true nature, but I was thrilled to know that town was that much closer to surviving. I was not so much defending HIM as I was saying that I saw no good REASON to vote for him.

In an effort to keep myself from roleclaiming, I cannot express the other reasons as to why I think Crossfire is either mafia or serial killer. But I will say that that is how I feel.

The only party here I see as inactive is one Mr. DCsodini. There is another theory... daunting though it may be. A standard 10 player game should numerically speaking only have two mafia, both of which we have already been rid of. Two uneventful evenings later, I'd say we've got a neutral on our hands. Finding out who, is the issue.

The only inactive player as of right now is DCsodini. But it is possible (while unlikely) that the mafia/killer was blocked, and decided the night before to do nothing, as to cause confusion among us townies. While unlikely, it is still a possibility.

No, we can't be completely sure, but the norm is 20% mafia. So - 20% of 10 is two. Who are both dead. But you're entirely right, there may be more.

Neutral is... Well... Neutral. xD They're not allied with either town or mafia, so town cannot win with neutrals alive. When they're in games, I usually see them as vanillas (no actions) but that's completely not a certainty. (And it's completely cool, we love new people. :])

So... While we're not sure about whether it's mafia, SK, or Neutral, it seems likely DCSodini is our man.

And at the risk of sounding heartless, we're far ahead of the game as far as numbers are concerned. Especially if we've got a neutral, who wouldn't be able to kill. So even if DCSodini isn't who we're looking for, we've got the numbers to last a while longer while we figure this out.

I'm not quite sure who made the ruling on Neutrals, but I can't find anything about them on Mafia Scum, the Wikipedia page, or in the Flash introduction. But the way I see it, (and I know that most mods don't do it this way) Neutrals don't hinder the town. They are just there. They don't care one way or another what happens. This is how I think the rules should be for neutrals.

Neutral: If you are the last person alive, you win. If town wins, you win. If mafia wins, you lose.

My reasoning for this is the wording on Town and Mafia factions.

Town wins when all mafia (and serial killer, though it doesn't specify this) are dead.
Mafia wins when they make up 50% or more of the townspeople.

Also, the word, "Neutral," really just means indifferent. So, I've always been confused as to why Neutrals had to die in order for town to win. Neutrals are still townies, they just don't care.

That makes sense, and I've seen games that are run that way. I guess mods might choose to make them have to be killed, because they are capable of having actions of their own, and going against the town if they choose. I've always thought that neutrals win if they make it to the end, and one of the only times I've been neutral, when I asked one of the older mods, she told me that she honestly wasn't sure.

The fact of the matter is, what JusticeGuy should be the case, but obviously isn't. Namanda told us that in her games, she makes it that neutrals must be killed. Whether there are neutrals here or not is unknown, and that's part of the fun is finding out.

Basically, there's still a possiblility for neutrals. Or Serial Killer. Or even mafia. They could just be really inactive. Or being blocked. Or maybe even have a conditional ability. Like I said before, we've been really lucky with getting mafia straight off, and we've only lost one townie. We've got a day or two before we need to be worried about numbers.

I did something a little different with the night stuff. I had too much fun actually writing out everything that happened so I wanted to post that instead of just a list of what everyone did.

Day One:
DonJuan lynched

Night One:
The mafia have set their sights on Kelsey Kay and send Xyk out to do their dirty work. While Xyk is on his way to kill Kelsey Kay, he is suddenly surrounded by a thick cloud of smoke that follows him everywhere he goes. Xyk, not being able to see or get out of the cloud of smoke, wanders around aimlessly the rest of the night. Kelsey Kay in the meantime has decided to target Xyk but when she goes to kill him she is too lost the cloud of thick smoke. al a mode goes to investigate Xyk but she is also lost is the cloud of thick smoke. All of this smoke is in turn caused by JusticeGuy using his ability and surrounding Xyk in a cloud of thick smoke making it so he is unable to do anything. When JusticeGuy gets back from putting the smoke around Xyk, he has received a message saying “You think that was random?!?! HAH!!! Just wait, it'll be you next!!!!”. In the shadows, DCsodini watches as JusticeGuy receives the message he left for him. Meanwhile, across town Crossfire invited elad on a “nice leisurely stroll around of the block” that ended in her slicing into him but doesn’t go as far as to kill him and leaves him lying in a pool of his own blood for the rest of the town to find in the morning.

Day Two:
Xyk lynched

Night Two:
JusticeGuy sets out to put a thick cloud of smoke around CrossFire, preventing her from doing anything the rest of the night. Kelsey Kay wants to kill CrossFire but is too lost in the cloud of smoke, same as the previous night. al a mode puts her investigative skills to work and investigates DCsodini but only to find him asleep in his bed all night.

Day Three:
CrossFire lynched

Night Three:
al a mode investigates Anarchy only to find them asleep in their bed all night. JusticeGuy puts a thick cloud of smoke around Kelsey Kay and when he gets back from doing that he finds another note pinned to his door that says “Beware my friend, his knife draws nigh, and so you'll be, staring at the sky!!!”. DCsodini puts another note on JusticeGuy’s door and waits in the shadows to make sure he got the message then heads home and sleeps peacefully the rest of the night.

Day Four:
DCsodini lynched

Night Four:
JusticeGuy decides to put a thick cloud of smoke around elad causing him to not be able to confuse Kelsey Kay like he originally planned. al a mode investigates Kelsey Kay and finds her to be sleeping peacefully all night.

Day Five:
Anarchy lynched

Night Five:
JusticeGuy once again surrounds elad in a thick cloud of smoke leaving him unable to confuse Kelsey Kay which he wanted to do again. Kelsey Kay hides in the shadows waiting for JusticeGuy to get home and when he does she sneaks up behind him, takes her razor blade, and slits his throat, leaving him lying on the ground dead in a pool of his own blood in front of his house. She stands over him, looking him directly in the eyes and waits for her curiosity to be satisfied as his mask slowly begins to fade away revealing who he is. Meanwhile, on the other side of town al a mode investigates IntoRapture to find her sleeping peacefully all night.

Day Six:
Kelsey Kay lynched
al a mode lynched

Night Six:
elad goes to visit IntoRapture and they have a nice conversation but the conversation ends up leaving IntoRapture completely and utterly baffled.

Day Seven:
elad lynched
IntoRapture wins

which ended up blocking the serial killer and one other person. The second night he
targetted one person and blocked the serial killer in the process. The third night he
targetted the serial killer.

Mafia LVP: Xyk. Defending a fellow mafia player is never something you do as a mafia
member because suspicion always goes back to you.

LMAO Award: Kelsey Kay. On day four, right when day ended, she messages me and says
"NAMANDAMANDA. It's 12:00. Time to go kill your boyfriend." I laughed so hard.
