And then there was Okita from Gintama! From a minishoot at NYAF/NYCC 2010~ Okita was kinda a spur of the moment cos for this con, but it was nice and comfy, so I'm not complaining. And he's awesome *A* Wig was dyed from a silver wig because the one I'd ordered didn't come on time. Gakuran made from scratch, shirt was iron-on transfer + painted collar, eyes were painted on. ....decided on this midnight the night before the shoot. I'd planned on cosplaying him for a while but never had a set date for it...so I styled this wig at 1AM LOLOL. And piaaaaanooooooo <333333 This shoot was DIFFICULT, though! I can't grin cockily to save my life. I'll stick to smirking, kthx. Thanks again to Reutan for doing this so last minute!! lolol so two nights before International Cosplay Day my friend and I decided it'd be <3 to meet up and play. But we didn't know what to play together, so we wanted something simple we could pull out of our closets or make the next day. This shoot was supposed to take place in Central Park...but we were rained out. So we took refuge in Rockefeller Center and Grand Central~ Much <3 to my Alto and photographer. I think I read somewhere that you're cosplaying Linalee, right? If you can buy from ebay, here's a wig I think might work for her, assuming you're doing her pigtailed hair. It's like $60.

Generally wigs from there are really nice. I have two from that seller and I know Emi has bought from there before too. $60 isn't bad for the convenience of already having pigtails on the wig either, considering making pigtails in a wig yourself without the proper knowledge of how to do so usually ends up disastrous...

If you're ordering wigs from ebay, or any overseas seller from whatever source, make sure you get it at least a month before the con. A month in a half to be safe.

Cosplaywig's quality has been up and down lately - it all depends on the wig you get. But if you get a good one, it's a reaaaally good one. Also, their shipping has been taking a looong time and they don't answer questions. x_X Ayanamisatoru is also a shop that has its ups and downs.

CCKids has a pigtailed wig up right now, too.

It's about the same price as the cosplaywig one and it ships faster, too. They also do custom colors so you can try messaging them for anything special. Same goes for Fantasy Sheep.

My favorite wig shops are CCKIDS http://stores.ebay.com/Charissa-KIDS and Fantasy Sheep http://stores.ebay.com/FANTASY-SHEEP-COSWIG-LAND as well as J-BWigs. I use Fantasy Sheep the most lately~ Unfortunately, it's hard to get anything from J-BWigs unless you use taobao or go to their store in Taiwan. Which sucks, cuz I LOVE their wigs to death.

Been working on my Crowned Clown for this weekend. I have pretty much all the fabric, I just need to go to the fabric store tomorrow to get some fur. I'd planned to start patterning the coat today since I got my suede, but decided to make the mask instead. I also need to get materials for the sword tomorrow. This'll be fun. xD

The sword and mask are both complete! The Crowned Clown cloak/coat thing is almost done, too. I just need to finish up the sleeve and add a hook and eye. Did another makeup test for Allen, I'm still working on getting the perfect makeup job for him, but it'll probably keep evolving, LOL. This time I tried doing the gluestick cover eyebrow trick thing. And it worked <3 so yay. also remade my third uniform so this is a little teaser for that!!

Ahhh your Alois <3 Awesome. I wanna cosplay him myself...but i can't sew or find a good costume DDDD; I was trying to think of something for the tongue aswell though. All that came to mind were when places used to sell like candy tattoos? And like sucking on it imprinted the color on your tongue? Fruit roll ups used to do something like that...maybe you could find something similar? I think you may wanna darker your lips a bit to make his smiles stand out even more, but that's just my opinion XD

First is....the moe blob Azusa from K-On! D: Her makeup was really easy to do, yaaay. but the wig, not so much. The wig was originally just a short wig, and I ended up wefting two packs of extentions for the pigtails and eartails. Sewn in. A mess of slippery black while doing it OTL but it worked at least. Neeext is....Jaden Yuki from Yu-Gi-Oh GX. Yeah. YES I'M A DORK OKAY? The gakuran is from episode 1, where he uses the Battle City dueldisk. Yeah. The gakuran is my all-purpose gakuran, tho I haven't added gold buttons on it yet.
