I absolutely love this piece. Ever since I played the Umineko VN and hear this piece, I could not stop listening. I would pause the game until I got the mp3.

That being said, I chanced upon the sheet music randomly one day and decided to print it out and try sight-reading it. This is the result~ I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed playing it~ It's so soothing. ><

So here's Hope from the Umineko visual novel!

I hope to do a better version eventually~ I hope you look forward to it. x3

Wow, this sounded really good, Emi! It's a shame the audio peaked on the louder notes, but the performance was really well done!

You rock. Great work! A little slower than the original version, but it works! Wish I could play the piano like that...

Thanks so much for the comments, guys!

McTricky > Yeah, I need to figure out a better piano recording setup @_@ Would you happen to recommend anything? Right now I have a microphone placed underneath the piano. XD

Piano's quite tricky to record. If you have a mic-stand, you can get good results by placing the mic above the piano (where the strings are). That was the setup my teacher used when I performed Yuna's Ballad from FFX-2 for my Music exam and the recording sounded great. The mic quality may also be factor on the sound you'll get as well.

Okay I'll try that, thanks~ I used to put the mic by the strings, but I've seen it underneath the piano many times so I decided to try that out. And I use a Shure SM58.

Haha, I wish I could play music like that for a music exam - my professor wouldn't let me study the Kingdom Hearts piano collections because my major requires a more "classical" focus. So I'm just teaching myself those. xDDD

Nice work Kitsqueak, a slower version compared to the original but still keeping it true to its form. I did notice that the audio peaked at the higher notes but doing piano recordings are difficult indeed. I agree with McTricky's view in having a mic stand placing the microphone under the piano is a good idea. But also factor microphone quality and acoustics as well.
