Pretty flipping awesome (http://www.jeanettestaxidermy.com/pet_pillows.html)

The possibilities of using one of those on an everyday basis are infinite.

Discuss.

i wonder if that when matt dies, i can make a cute little pillow out of his fur.

curea sounds like a 'hairy name'

matt is my name to, so that obviously means great.

cough.

Ah, you guys lack imagination.

Just picture it. When people you don't like come over and sleep at your place you can let them have the "one of a kind fur pillow". Then in the morning when they're about to leave you can announce that they slept on "fido's" ass all night long.

BAM! End of unwanted house guests.

Man, taxidermy is really one of the creepiest socially accepted hobbies there is.

O.O

I think the saddest part would be that they're charging big bucks to shave the corpse of your pet and use the fur to create a memorable pillow for you, that'll probably freak the hell out of your family when you tell them what it is. Wait... that's the whole damn deal. This is a sad operation... a sad, sad operation.

Can't you imagine a little girl finding this on the web? And she's like, "Oh yeah! This'll be great!", and glimpses at her dying pet in the corner. Then when it dies, can you imagine the horror on her face as she looks at her frozen pet that she pulls from the deep freeze? Yikes...

More like how DISTURBING is this! O_O;;

I could never ever sleep on a pillow made out of my cat Mimi's fur. Not to mention I could never EVER put her in a bag and freeze her. o_o That is just... *shudder*

x_x That would be like sleeping on a corpse... in a way. I'd freak out o_O;;

i STILL say matt C. would make a great pillow. like a water-pillow, but with blood, dead blood cells of course, but they're so soft.

but yea, mine little bailey, i sleep on him alive only.

If you love your pet THAT much then there is something really wrong with you. Who the hell wants to have your dead pet's fur anywhere near you. I loved my Brandy-dog but... um no.

If you have a problem with this the you better have a problem with leather, sheep skin rugs/blankets/ect, or any other stuff that is made from animal hides.

Holy smokes.

Just a question... have you ever owned a pet? XD;;

Leather is one thing, so is fur stuff. But this is a pillow... made out of YOUR pet that YOU loved. It's sort of like seeing the skin of your dead little sister on a pillow o_o;; Yeah, NOT pleasant.

Psht, have I ever owned a pet?! Of course. But I would hardly call it an extreme difference. The only difference is that at least pillows were made from something that was already dead, unlike leather and what have you. So really, it's morally better to own one of these pillows than a leather jacket.

Hide of animals = hide of animals. Skin of sister and humans =! hide of animals.

And it'd be even cooler if you had a pet tiger or something. That'd make an awesome pillow.

Link dosen't work, but Icy told meh about it.

My favorite kitty was this beautiful long-haired tabby mix named Snuggles.

Ha. *snork* With this, he'd really be Snuggles! XD XD

It's awfully nice of this crazy lady to do this for free... what does she get out of it?

....I bet you she eats the corpses! :O

Free? It like costs anywhere from 60-100 dollars to get your pet fluffed into pillow form.

...and to set the record straight I do not weat leather, sheep stuff, or any other animal thingit. Only synthetic materials. I love animals <3... well except for deer. They ruined my fromt bumper. *pets her car*

Maybe I can have my car made into a pillow when it dies!

Hahaha... maybe I shouldn't have said the dead sister thing... I'm giving Cruea ideas... >_>

Well yeah, maybe it IS better to own something made out of leather and such, and I never said doing this is wrong or anything. I just said it's sort of sick and creepy to see YOUR pet made into a pillow. The whole difference is that it's YOUR pet, not anyone else's. XD

Liri-- Yeah, it's for anywhere from 60-140 dollars.

fukkatsu-- Maybe you can... XD; That pillow would hurt though.

So, would you be opposed to buying someone else's pet pillow and/or having your pet turned into a pillow and selling it?

Dunno where you'd find a good pet pillow market though...

Yes, I would be opposed to that... hmm... your avatar reminds me of a pet turtle I once had. Mmmmm... turtle soup. ^_^

But really, I think Icy has a point. Do you really think you could even own, let alone wear or use, a pillow made from someone that you held dear to you? I think that's how people get with their pets... if they haven't got anyone else in the world, then their pets are their main thingies. Truly, I believe this would make them naseous and offended. I guess you could think of taxidermy as... controversial?

I think mounting the head of wild animals you killed over your fire place is gross, creepy, and stupid, but I'd hardly say THAT is "controversial". I just don't get it.

There are a good number of people out there, I'm sure, that have no problem keeping their pet around after they're gone in one way or another. In fact, it's probably good to have them pillowfied instead of just stuffed. That way when you have guests over they wouldn't be as creeped out right away. They probably wouldn't notice the fur pillow nearly as muched as a big stuffed kitty.

So, I'm just saying that it would be wrong to make the large, sweeping judgement that everyone who has a pet they love would be "naseous and offended" by the pillowfication process.
