World of Warcraft Sound Effects

Well first off, I apologize for the amount of work that will be involved to get these all organized into one folder. MU was being a bitch and wouldn't upload the folder and 4shared has a 200 MB per file limit for free users so... yeah. I hope it isn't much of a hassle.

File Size: 1.65 GB Total (Each folder is under 200 MB)
Number of Files: 5,997 Total
File Type: .wav (Sorry... that's how they came. >.>; )
Sound Types: Ambience of practically all kinds, footsteps, armor sounds, weapon sounds, magic sounds, monster sounds, interface sounds, basically every sound effect you hear in the game is there.

Instructions:

1.) Download all the folders.
2.) Place the Vanilla/BC Creature, Spells, and Doodad folders in the Vanilla/BC SFX folder.
3.) Take the files in the Vanilla/BC Zone Ambience 2 folder and place them in the Vanilla/BC Zone Ambience folder located inside the Vanilla/BC Ambience folder.
4.) Take the files in the Vanilla/BC WMO Ambience 2 folder and place them in the Vanilla/BC WMO Ambience 1 folder.
5.) Place the now complete Vanilla/BC WMO Ambience folder inside the Vanilla/BC Ambience folder.
6.) Place the now complete Vanilla/BC Ambience folder inside the Vanilla/BC SFX folder.
7.) Take the files in the WotLK Zone Ambience 2 folder and place them in the WotLK Zone Ambience 1 folder.
8.) Place the now completed WotLK Zone Ambience folder in the WotLK Ambience folder.
9.) Place the now completed WotLK Ambience folder in the WotLK SFX folder.
10.) You can then leave the resulting pair of folders as they are or put them in a parent folder. Up to you. :)

I know it's a bit of a puzzle, but if MegaUpload had cooperated this wouldn't be needed. Well anyway, the only sound files I left out were the character battle incidentals such as yells and grunts, but I don't know why anyone would want them. I still have them, though, so if you do want them for... some reason... just ask me.

I also have all the music files if anyone wants those.

So yeah. I hope this isn't too confusing and that you will all enjoy these sound effects. :)

EDIT: Actually instead, I'll take the ones I need. Like those creature sounds and the spell sounds. Which one has weapon SFX?

The weapon sounds are in the main SFX folder for both in the "Items" sub-folders and the creatures and spells for Wrath of the Lich King are in it's main SFX folder as well.

I have just realized that I didn't rip the sounds from the WotLK patches so I'll try and do that soon and upload them. XD

Is anyone else having any problems opening these ZIP files? I've downloaded up to the "doodad" folder and can't open any of them, and WinZip just keeps giving me an error message. It's the same message for each folder, just the name is changed...

The following invalid folder name was encountered in the archive: ""Vanilla:BC - Doodad\"".

Well, I tried downloading the files again just in case there was some kind of error that occurred when I downloaded them. But now I'm getting an error message for every single folder located within the ZIP. Ugh. ><
For Vanilla_BC-SFZ.zip alone I'm getting errors in the archive...
Vanilla:BC - SFX/
Vanilla:BC - SFX/.DS_Store
__MACOSX\Vanilla:BC - SFX/
__MACOSX\Vanilla:BC - SFX/._.DS_Store
__MACOSX\Vanilla:BC - SFX/Effects

And so on.
I wonder if it's because the folders have a colon (:) in the names, which the PC does not support? At least Windows XP doesn't support a colon in file names.

I noticed that the fine selection of sound effects in this thread does not include any voices. So I decided to contribute!

Here's a small personal selection of greetings and goodbyes, by Night Elf and Draenei:

You will find elven words such as asha-fellah, elun adore, ishnu-allah, ishnu dal-dieb, del-nadress... and also draenei words such as daioness akah, arcanan porros, kronakai cristor, and so forth. Both male and female voices from the World of Warcraft. I ripped them off the game myself, and saved as .WAV (wave) files.
