This was taken right from Corey Burton's message board; I thought those that live in the area might be interested in this.

-------------------------------------

For those interested, my ol' pal Brian Cummings is now accepting students for his new 'in-depth' voice acting workshop. The 8 week sessions will be held at his studio facility north of the San Fernando Valley, in the Valencia/Santa Clarita area (which could prove a bit difficult to attend, if you are located on the 'south side' of Los Angeles). The program is slated to begin on April 20th.

Aside from being tremendously talented, Brian can be considered "the Founding Member" of Daws Butler's original workshop group (yes - the one I was part of), having persuaded our 'mentor' to do this kind of teaching in the first place. I have no doubt that he'll do his best to bring that same kind of care and integrity to these courses that we experienced in those bygone days. If you're interested, here is the email address to contact:

...You're welcome!

For those of you who don't know, Brian was the voice of Sokolov in the Metal Gear Solid 3 videogame, along with a horde of other characters in other animated shows.

Actually, I did try to get into it, but I wasn't able to due to a class I had at that time...

But, I did ask him about future workshops, and he did say he was thinking about one in July/August. He hasn't finalized a date yet though.

Lucien, again, I have to thank you for posting this in the first place. XD

Anybody here by the name of Christina *edit: Now corrected to Stephanie* show interest in this class? I sent an e-mail to Brian a while ago, and he apparently confused my e-mail with someone else's and responded to 'Christina' with my e-mail address. Weird indeed XD.
