I just felt like sharing these because I'm snowed in, sick, and have nothing better to do. xDDD That, and I'm so happy about how much this outfit has improved since my...old one.

So. One of my first cosplay I ever made was Sheryl's Star Date outfit from Macross Frontier for Otakon 2009. To put it simply, it was a nightmare. The fabric was a horrible choice (because it was the only kind in the correct color x_X) and it frayed like the devil. I also was not experienced in making clothing at ALL and to quote Erica, it looked like it was falling off LOL.

Now, about half a year later, I found the PERFECT knit fabric (finally...x_X) I was snowed in today (...holy crap, 2+ ft?!) so I decided to sew this this morning! Only took about two hours, though it only took that long because I had to seamrip part of it - made it too long at first. >>

ANYWAY. Here are some quick shots of it~ ...I love how pale this part of my house makes me look. >>;; Makes it so that all I have to do to these pics is crop/fix colors/resize. xDDD

What else is there really to say Kitsune? You look great in this outfit!

Wait, I CAN say something else: It seems that this knit that you did is very high quality from this angle. It really does look like real clothing as opposed to a super costumey piece and that's definately a plus. I'd even argue that if you were ever so inclined you could wear this in public and it would look just as good.

Those are my two cents.

No question about it. I agree with Rikun. Your piece is really superior and it clearly stands out.

Ohhh my goodness. I'm not one who's especially well-versed in cosplay, but this looks absolutely fantastic. Agreed with all of the above; that's top-notch work.

It looks pretty good.

The garment looks well made and the quality of the fabric also enhances its overall appearance. Love the color. :D

Now about your fraying version, did you bother to zig zag stitch your seams? Because that is what prevents it from fraying. [well that and properly sewing the hem]
Surging also does too, but not many people own a surger. >_>
