My boyfriend loves this song. He says Alicia Keys is the only singer he thinks is as good as me, which is very sweet... but also totally unacceptable!! I'm his girlfriend, therefore in his eyes no one should even come close to being as good as me!! Bwahahaha!!!

I'm joking of course ;) But it's true, he does like this song, and he bought the backing track because he wanted me to sing it. I've recorded it whilst he's out at work... we had a bit of an argument last night and I feel a bit bad about the way I went about saying things, so this is gonna be not a sorry, but a let's forget we ever argued. :D

Anyways... the track came with no backing vocals, so I did all of them myself.

Enjoy!

Sounds pretty perfect to me, if I hadn't of known the song I would've said it was a professional recording. I think your boyfriend will be happy, he spent his money wisely =]

When you sing songs do you find yourself naturally copying the way the original singer sang it? I'm just interested, not saying it's bad to sound like the original, it shows your appreciation for the original =] I think it's nice to have an equal balance between inspiration from the original singer and trying to add your own flair to a song.

I expect to hear more lovely work sometime soon ^.^

I was going to comment, but I figured you wouldn't want to hear me say your voice is perfect all the time.

If I had to pick something out, though, I think you're over-pronouncing some words a bit (like the first line of the chorus). It doesn't sound unnatural but it was something that didn't fit exactly right.
