First thing's first. I'm new to the site, and voice acting all together, so I'm a bit of a rookie. So please go easy with any comments or critiques you give. I'm not saying the comments have to all be positive (though that'd be awesome ;D) but if you have something negative to say, at least say it in a positive way. Don't be harsh. Like I said, I'm new to this, so I know I can't compare to the more experienced voice actors.

The first few lines are VERY similar, I know. You don't have to bring that up. That's because they're pretty much my normal voice. The difference between them were the different personalities used in each, rather than the voice. The voices start to vary more as it goes on, but I should mention I'm capable of female teens and children, and some male children--not a large variety to start with.

Here is a link to the mp3 or the video.
I added music to the mp3, as suggested. I tried not to drown out my voice w/the music or make it too distracting. Tell me if you think it's ok?

P.S. If you happen to recognize the lines from a specific anime, I should also mention that SOME of the characters were more... my own take of the characters. A lot of them I hadn't even heard before so I had no choice but to put in whatever voice I thought matched.
Characters I actually tried to imitate, if you're curious: Moegi, Ururu, and Hunny.

Well that was nice and short so it was easy to listen to. One suggestion is perhaps add a little background music to help your voices flow together a little more.

I liked the softer voices and think you did a good job there but as for the others, all I can say is it seemed you lacked confidence when you delivered them. Don't be afraid to project your voice a little more and go all out on some voices, even if they come out a little overacted at times its best to go that route then hold back.

As for range you showed off a pretty good amount in a short amount of time, I would've preferred some more lower voices and possibly some little kid voices but still not bad for a first demo reel. Just try and expand from here and see where you end up.

Keep it up!

Thank you for the advice, it's very appreciated :)

I don't suppose you would have any suggestions of what kind of music I could put into the background for this kind of demo reel? :sweat

Eh it's really your pick, some people use a different song for each character and some people just use one.

But any light hearted bgm from an anime/game or anything really would fit well here I think. For example you could probably pick any music from ouran high school host club and throw it in here, but I encourage you to experiment ^^
