I had this idea in which we get a bunch of people to road trip to this thing. We can have people on the east coast start out early and pick people up and specific cities, then move on the to the Midwest and then finally to the con, grabbing people from various places along the way.
I have a lot of details thought out in my head, but I want breakfast, so why don't we just see if anyone's even interested first (since I know some people are still unsure of how they're getting there).
Come on guys. VAA ROAD TRIP :O

Chris and I discussed something akin to this about three months ago.

Seriously? Awesome. I think I'd be really into doing something like this.

Danae, I still know a couple of guys in the Chicago area who are sure they want to roadtrip to AX. Not just Zach, he's not really concrete about the idea, but Dustin (do you know him?) is. So if you can't gather people, you could go with his group, and if he can't gather people, he could go with our (and by "our", I mean the VAA's) group. :D

Unless the Earth opens up and swallows my car, or something disasterous happens to my bank account, I'll be driving to California with room for 3 people to come along (technically 4 but packing that many people and their luggage is an option only if no other option exists.) I've got a bigger car than I had at AWA, so it'd be a bit more comfy. As of now, Matt has one spot in the car.
Of course, if all goes extremely well, I may have a van to drive.

And you know I'd definitely pay for at least a quarter of the gas money and whatnot.

The question is, would you guys be willing to take an bass ackwards route in order to get there. Like, to pick up different people in various places. Or say maybe we could have a convergance at a certain mutual place. I figure you guys come up from Florida/Atlanta, I can find people up north and we converge at a certain point to drive the rest of the way together?

The easier we can make the route, the better, but I'm willing to drive just about anywhere. With several people splitting gas expenses, it's infinitely cheaper than flying and, in my opinion, alot more fun.

I totally agree. I'll talk to some people and get back to you guys.
