Team Cepheus presents...

A Rapid Fire Dub by Pawt and Sward!

Gungrave, Episode 14 - The Elevator Scene

YouTube- GunGrave - Elevator Scene Fandub

Once upon a time, Pawt and Sward were bored. In an effort to rid themselves of this boredom, they came up with the epic idea to do a quick dub of the Elevator scene from GunGrave! It's pretty much one the most intense scenes in the anime, if not one of the most intense scenes ever! O:

From the moment the idea was born to the moment it went up on PooTube it took around 27 hours to get the complete, final version. We're both pretty damned proud of this, and we hope you will enjoy it too, but as usual we are ALWAYS looking for critique from each and everyone who watches this! ...At least I know I am, but I think Sward would love to hear some critique as well |D

Starring:
Pawt as Harry McDowel
Sward as Brandon Heat

Now, I'm a big fan of Gun Grave, so you have to forgive me if I sound too... harsh in my critique.

Brandon Heat/Sward: The first gasp was way over the top and I didn't quite feel for him when he felt conflicted and began trembling/crying, but when it came to his absolute surprise upon seeing Harry with a gun, to him getting shot the first couple of times. Those noises were well portrayed and I could actually feel a pain in my chest for the guy. Though, to be honest, your voice doesn't suit Brandon at all. Sounds too young, but that's just me.

Harry McDowel/Pawt: "Let's kill the boss..." <-- excellent. Not a bad voice, but it sounded more like you were reading rather than trying to convey the emotion and malicious intent behind Harry. The way you said Maria's name was rather well conveyed though. But, I felt that more could have put into the way you said Brandon's name in the end, it was a bit weak. Harry's face in that scene looks menacing. I'd push for a bit more if I could.

Mixing: Was a bit rough, missing a few lines and sound effects overall... some sound effects I felt didn't fit the scene. It more or less sounded like kids playing in the park. Ambiance for traffic/city life might have suited the scene better upon fading in and outside the elevator. Otherwise, a good attempt.
