The KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep (Jump Festa 2010) trailer was shown about a week ago, thanks to it being uploaded on the official website from KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep. This anticipated trailer has now been recorded in English from the KHV and VAA team, who has worked together on yet again the next fandub trailer. This makes the fifth dubbed trailer from the team in this Birth by Sleep production. Once again, I've casted another ten characters who appeared in this new promotional video. The video is almost ten minutes long, giving you guys a chance to hear some of your favorite characters impersonated by fans just like you. I don't need to explain that we once again have went to the next level. That's for you guys to determine. So, please sit back and enjoy the production that my team and myself have completed for you guys. By the way, this is our last dubbed trailer as we will be moving on to cutscenes. Make sure you also check out the credits video for the old action pack video that we've been using in the production. There's been some changes that I've made, can you tell what they are?

We are only days away from the release of KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep in Japan. We'll keep you updated on the latest. Just stick with us. Don't forget to look at our past work and our promotion artwork that Misty has made us. This is the official closing for all promotions in regards to our team for Birth by Sleep. It's time for North America to take over in regards to any promotions and commercials as we get closer to the North American release. As I said before, we will be dubbing cutscenes from the actual game as it releases in Japan. Thanks to everyone involved and who has been keeping with us during the making of the promotional videos. Also take a look at the cast and everyone involved. It's really amazing how this has been one big community project and I'm thankful for that.

Normally I'm not one to give any sort of critique but one thing stood out, which was the lack of emotion/ life in Vanitas's laugh as Aqua was about to remove his helmet. Otherwise I enjoyed it!

Anyway thanks for adding one more part for me. ^_^ Pete, Captain Justice, should be fun to do since he is a hero/villian at the same time.

Well I just want to take some time and say that my team did an amazing job. Just sitting here and seeing how we pulled it of, seems to still amaze me today. At the end of the day, I'm so thankful and each and everyone of you hold your own uniqueness in this video. I feel that we are more of a team and we've learned so much about our roles and how we can even relate to them. I also just want to add that I've seen everyone grow with their roles.

And for everyone that has been watching these videos and sticking with us, thanks so much. I really do hope you guys enjoy what we at KHV are offering. I hope the video can make you guys feel the emotion that the characters are going through.

Oh wow I got so many parts ^^ Cool X3 I feel like a real KH VA, like Paul Cummings or someone with lots of voices! Cinderella was my fav of the ones I did that made it. Flora...sorry, I know I don't sound like her, I did my best to capture the essence of the character while in explaining mode on that take. (I'm still wondering who I sounded like in my Minnie aud XD I heard myself of the last take and was thought I sounded like an anime character I knew but couldn't tell which one lol)
Oh sweet, cutscenes next? That'll be exciting. I'm guessing well be keeping the parts we have so far for those, yes? (yay!)
And how sweet is it on how quickly we got this fandub trailer out too! X3

Thanks to the Crew and Cast for making this! It's been fun seeing all the new sneak peeks to the game as they came out!
(although when I first saw this one in Japanese, it made me feel sad)

for mixing, some voices were tons louder than others, it should be okay to level them down. I also think that asking us to record as loud as possible, some character's qualities seem to be lost as the louder voices didn't sound as clear. (so frustrating to get right--I'll have people say one thing is too quiet and another say the samething was to overbearing and distracting -.-)
I guess a few timing issues with matching flaps too (I mix audio in audacity, so I know how hard it can be!) like with my Maleficent line, the original started with the mouth and continued while showing Terra, so I timed that way, but here for me, I start talking before the mouth did and ended when we see her lips finish moving. (actually, that was really the only timing issue I noticed ^^)

My mind clouds over with action sequences XD I'm going to guess...did you add lightning effects? X3

Yes, you will keep the roles for the cutscenes. And what are you talking about with the lighting scenes? By the way, for everyone else, can I get some feedback on our voices? It would be apprecitated.

I can tell that, like I said previously, there were mic issues mainly with Kissy which was weird since this is Kissy we are talking about in general. (I notice that you commented on her page statting that she was last one to turn her lines in, which in this case it sounds like her plate was over filled with other projects.)

Anyway putting that aside, like I also said previously on kh-vids Jetfire did an awsome job. I believe he finally got Terra down pretty damn solid. And omg Maleficent: Refi-chan that was so good, you sounded almost exactly like her. All the disney characters sound good in general now and besides that the only thing that stood out the most was Vanitas, the laugh sounded forced and didn't have any umph.

Any advice on my role? Also as far as bad mic quality, it's because of me. I told everyone to send the recordings loud, but they weren't loud enough. So, I had to make almost all of them louder due to the song taking over.

I kept asking for redos. Your lines were fine because your parts were more at the start of the video, where music was barely heard. I'm not too sure what you mean by relaxed. And how that could be fixed?

Well, that's why I can't do many others.
I've only done voices for Mickey, Sora, Demyx, Zack and Roxas.
But the reason why I make so many Roxas fandubs is due to the fact that this is how I normally talk. I really don't have to try.

Great actors aren't great because they play the same character all the time. I'm not comparing you to say, Adam Sandler (:facefault) or saying I'm a great actor, but I would definitely want to hear other voices from you, especially your Mickey.

And that's perfectly fine :-P Roxas is a character I've always wanted to voice, but never found the right way to pull it off. I think I'm contradicting myself when I say this :sweat but I guess some people's voices are best suited for one certain voice. This has gotten very confusing and I probably shouldn't have jumped in haha :-?

Turning down the music is also an option in mixing, especially when there are lines being said over them. I know also in at least Audacity, you can play with the dynamics too if you want to have it fade lower during the talking and then subtley bring it back up during the playing show-off scenes.
