Not sure why my games turn out interesting, but we'll see how this one goes.

With that, Kermit jostled off as the curtain rose. As the opening credits completed, Kermit saw Ben and Fozzie chatting about something. What were they chatting about? You'll have to sign up and find out.
MAFIA GAME RULES:
Rules are quite simple. Obey the rules.
The Rules:
1. NO TALKING OUTSIDE THE GAME REGARDING THE GAME.
2. NO ROLECLAIMING.
3. You MAY however, roleplay. But not to the point it's roleclaiming.
4. ACTIVITY is a MUST, guys. Let's not be too inactive. 3 game days=warning. 4=MOD-KILLED. Okay? Those who are Mod Killed will face the Pittsburgh Steelers Offensive Line just as Chris Jericho did on RAW. (You do not want to face Ben in that respect.)
6. If you ask me if you're dead, I'll simply direct you towards the Player List.
7. You are allowed to talk at night. I'm a nice guy, after all. But do not constantly spam however, or else I'll be asking Nikki to start closing the thread each night.
8. ALL NIGHT ACTIONS MUST BE SENT IN ON TIME.
9. VOTES AND UNVOTES ARE DONE IN BOLD. EX. Vote: DonJuan or Unvote: DonJuan. Not in bold? Not counted.
10. HAVE FUN.
If you need more help when it comes to general Mafia rules, Matt's thread is there to help you out. (AKA HERE (http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/showthread.php?t=23411)).
I can start with as many as sign up, but would love to make this a massive player game.

That works perfectly for me, actually, since I have class, and i might not be around much since my brother is home, and I'm trying to stay away from CERTAIN allergens right now.
And a EARLY heads up, if I seemingly disappear at any point in the game, I've gotten REALLY sick over the past week, and that on top of a HORRID asthma attack today just sent me over the edge. SO if I'm missing, I'll TRY to stay in touch with DonJuan (through texting)...

Okay, so now that I've met and had dinner with my sister's boyfriend (And explained the whole B vs. M feud to my mom (even though neither of us care about it)), it is time to begin (They arrived right as I was sending the last role out). When we last saw our gang, Kermit saw Ben and Fozzie chatting about something. Let's now find out what went down...
Seeing Fozzie and their special guest discussing something, Kermit walked up. "Hey guys. What's up?" he asked.
"KERMIT!!! KERMIT!!! OH THANK GOODNESS YOU'RE HERE!!! HAVE YOU SEEN MISS PIGGY ANYWHERE?!" Fozzie cried out. "No, why do you ask?" Ben then looked at Kermit, completely confused. "I have no idea as to what is going on." Kermit nodded. "Okay, well what's the matter Fozzie?" "KERMIT! YOU"VE GOTTA READ THIS!!!" He handed Kermit a note. On it, in nice handwriting, was the following message:
Dear Muppets.
Please be advised that we have taken Foo Foo into our possession and are going to kill Foo Foo unless you hereby conform to our demands and take the show off the air. This is nothing but garbage which rots the wholesome minds of our youth today. We are also willing to eliminate participating Muppets who fail to abide by this order.

At the bottom of the note is what looks like a snout print.
"Whatever we do, do not let Miss Piggy find out about this! We'll all be hospital bound at best if she finds out!" Kermit started to shake in fear. "Well, let's just calm down and think rationally about this." Ben put his hand on Kermit's shoulder to try and help Kermit relax.
It is now Day One. With 14 alive, it taies 9 to auto-lynch. Day will end at 11pm Eastern.

And the reason I am starting out with a random lynch is although it seems we have more than one no lynch pass to work with, he apparently says that any after the first come at a COST. I'm NOT willing to find out the cost, and so I say we SAVE that no-lynch pass until we need it, or to give ourselves time to think later.

Others are available at a cost. But I'd rather not find that out later when we need it and learn it means someone is sacrificed for it. Which I doubt, but there's always the offchance of it happening. So I'm playing it safe to keep the no lynch until we need it.

If someone is sacrificed for a no lynch ticket (worst case scenario I suppose), that means we can either:
1. Kill someone today (at random) so we can save our no lynch ticket for later
2. We can use a no lynch ticket today and not use a no lynch ticket later so that we can choose who to lynch (with at least SOME sort of non randomness)
or
3. We can use use a no lynch ticket today and later and have someone random sacrificed.
Personally, I prefer 2.

I will probably get in trouble for this.
As the Mod reviewed the data and got his head around the whole voting issue, he came to a decision. Portobello Mushrooms do not agree with him.
"Well, the results are in." He shook his head. He walked over to Xyk and smiled, before a giant, starry hand pointed down from the starlight sky, and a loud voice boomed "IT'S YOU!!!"
"I don't care! All I ever wanted was to be with my beloved, beautiful mop." Running hands over with a smile, Xyk began to caress the mop handle ever so lovingly. "Isn't it just so beautiful?!" The game Mod backed away in concern slowly. "I could make sweet chin music with this mop all night long!"

As the sun rose, everyone relaxed as the day started peacefully. Yet at the same time, they were no closer to solving their dilemma regarding Foo Foo and the Mafia.
Suddenly, they noticed a pair of players were missing. Looking, they found one beaten senseless and the other looking like an insomniac who had been awake all night due to the loud noises the individual was muttering about.
ala mode has been beaten senseless, with JusticeGuy suffering insomnia. Neither is able to participate today in votes. Also, it is now Day Two, with Xyk 2.0 having joined us. With 14 alive, it takes 9 to autolynch. Votes are due by 4pm Sunday (Hopefully the game will be done by then).

I'm working with you guys, but apparently as you seem to want to control everything, I'm going to let you see what a team that doesn't work together and plan together ends up like.

Actually, lybi, you're right. DonJuan tends to have twisted games (such as the LES MIS REPRISE MAFIA) where those we think are town are mafia. So I guess I shouldn't place all my trust in roleplay alone. Besides, roleplay could lead to foul play.
I KNOW for a fact that elad is AWESOME, so I don't know whether to say he's town or not. But I'm going to place my trust in the fact that he's town right now, as that's the summary of what I learned last night.
Also, for DonJuan and elad's amusement, today at church, we had a guest speaker (Jerry Lucas) and he started talking about hens. And the male version of that is a _______
Anybody have anything else to bring to the table before we are forced to either no lynch (which I still would rather not use) or random lynch (unless people have something else to offer?)

Didn't mean for it to actually come across as me knowing that there was no mafia, considering I DON'T. In fact, I'm pretty sure there is a Mafia, as Inu so kindly presented in the opening day post. But in my (IRL) mafia experience, the first few lynches are always pretty random, but I have to leave really soon so unless someone better to vote for comes up in the next few minutes, my vote stays.

A vanilla townie, is just a person who is town, yet has no powers, no special abilities. They're just there to bring the town count up. It's really of no consequence at night to lose them. (please don't TWIST MY WORDS, but they don't mean anything at night. They're essentially there to have another town person, and have another person to vote).

I'm not sure if anyone else caught this, but all night actions were sent, no? So that means the mafia had to have been active. Maybe Chibi is a vanilla, too? So perhaps we should look into roleblockers? Anyone who may have used a night action against someone else for night one, I think it'd help if you could sort of hint us in the right direction. Since we want to make smart decisions, not like randomly voting people, such as Sparrow, who's only been helping us so far.
So let's make good choices, folks, and if we need another night to get info, I guess, as suspicious as it sounds, I'd go after Chibi, since she's more likely to be vanilla than a hero. Or am I just reading too far into DJ's post?

Now, and I mean this as inoffensively as possible, I am suspicious of Lybi and bladeofky, due to their lack of roleplaying. Either they just don't know anything about their characters, or they are hiding something. Again, I mean absolutely no offense by this. Also, in my opinion, we shouldn't be doing random lynches on day 3. Maybe the night actions will give us some insight...

I think what Kelsey meant was this: Don Juan had said that ALL night actions were in. If that is true, then it follows that mafia night actions had to have been in as well. Therefore, those people who have "role blocking" actions may have been the reason why no one died on the first night. That being said (and I think clearly described), it is likely that when DJ said "ALL night actions" he meant all "active players night actions" or it could also follow that the mafia chose not to act on the first night, which would cause confusion and make us begin to target each other. I think that, third night, we should use a no lynch, and hope that night 2 and night 3 give us insight.

That's what DJ said, and I quoted what he said at the top of the page. He ended night early... well, we were all asking him to, but it makes sense that he would wait, since it's more fair that way. So I think that's it's very possible that mafia was roleblocked, and that's why there wasn't a kill.
As far as roleplaying goes... I'm failplaying, and I'm sorry. But there are tons of reasons why someone wouldn't roleplay. A. They're not familiar with the theme, which happens a ton. It doesn't really help us, but there are other ways they can prove themselves. B. They just don't want to. Heh, I love this one, cause I do it all the time. <3 Bwahaha, if you get tired of failplaying, or everyone knows who you are. And last AND least, C. They are mafia. But especially with DJ's games, we can't place anyone under a "safe/not safe" category just because of roleplay.
And there's my two cents. <3

Alright, well I'll explain to you guys how this works out in my head. I know it won't be true (always) that a character considered to be "good" will not be mafia. However, by having insight into a persons "character," you can therefore make immediate assumptions, such as "This person is good, so they aren't mafia. However, this person is bad, so he must be mafia." It is only when that string of logic is proven false (by a character considered bad turns out to be town) that you can begin looking at those you had originally considered good. I realize that Don Juan doesn't always follow good=town, bad=mafia, but until we can know that he didn't do that, it is in our best interest to eliminate players who would normally be considered mafia. At least, that's how I think.

@JusticeGuy - Sorry, I can't really RP cause I don't know much about Muppets (I swear I always confused them with Sesame Street). I tried wikipedia-ing my character and youtubing it but he/she doesn't seem to have any distinguishing characteristics to bring out in a RP (are we allowed to say who our RP characters are?) Also I was told I didn't have to RP when I signed up. >_> I'm not entirely sure how Muppet character roles would even relate to mafia-roles.
As for lynching, I'm with JusticeGuy. I was thinking about this on the way back and the fact that night cycle 1 ended early must mean that mafia actually are active.

Anyhow, I think that if we get too far into the game with no clues as to which characters are mafia, we start lynching ones we know. BUT. It's entirely too risky at this point. Back a whiiiiiile ago, on the site, we had really complicated games, like with board games and such, but those mods have all left. So since we have mostly straightforward games these days, we have to spice it up somehow. Hence, the team games, and the scrambled mafia. FOR EXAMPLE: Les Mis Mafia: Thenardiers were mafia, as one would expect. Les Mis Mafia 2: Valjean was mafia. Which was a twist, since DJ didn't want them to be the same, and it was more of a challenge. So sometimes good character = town, but especially with DJ, it's not a given.
ALSO. No. Definitely don't say which character you are. Ever. It's a rule in most, if not all games, and may result in a mod kill. That's called roleclaiming, if you cared to know. ^^d

First off, blade, no we are not allowed to claim who our characters are. Secondly, while you are right, and it doesn't make much of a game when the "bad" characters are always bad, that's why there are roleblockers, vigilantes, doctors, cops, the reason we can't claim our role, and it's why mafia, apparently, don't always role-play but instead just add to conversation. If you don't have insight into the character, you'll never know if they are "bad" or not.
Anyways, I was just telling you how I was rationalizing the situation.

Before you go suspecting me please have a little more information. Okay since I'm referencing old mafias I'll will say this. Whenever DJ voted for me in the WWVI mafia(i think thats the right one) I kept knocking him out. But just because of that it doesn't mean I would repeat history(minus the fact I can get out of lynches pretty well when I'm mafia) But this game I will say this and I'll say it once maybe even a thousand times. I'M HELPING THE TOWNIES IN THIS GAME FOR ONCE!

Fail reason is fail. I wiki'd my character and have been rp'ing since. And townies with powers. Such as investigators, town protectors, and well in the Internet meme mafia I was a town protector and I yelled "desu" at the person cancelling all night actions that they were doing.
((Also that puts more suspicion on you I'm speaking from experience in the last 10 games I've been in~ I'm sure returning players would agree possibly))

Bladeofky has been given the dreaded insomnia attack, and may not speak nor vote today as they try to catch up on much needed sleep. It is now Day Three. With thirteen alive, it takes 8 to auto-lynch.

OKAY. The person who caused the insomnia must have been active both nights. Same MO, so same person, I think. The insomniacs were... JusticeGuy, and now Blade. Do we have a common link between the two? As for the KO, it could be like... some action. A sort of, attack the same person twice in a row, they die action? Or maybe a vigilante/SK with a less than 100% kill rate. Or someone with more than one night action, who used a different one this time? (Though we aren't seeing so many multi-abilities these days.) OR someone just inactive this time around.
But the problem with your list is this... What happens if JusticeGuy attacked Ala Mode while he was up all night not sleeping? o___O The insomnia could be a different action, with say... Person A, controls Person B (JusticeGuy and Blade) to use their night actions, making them unable to sleep. Or something. I dunno. lol.

There was a game a while ago with no mafia~ I didn't play it, and it was before most people here had joined, so I don't remember which one. Maybe DJ or Sparrow could tell you~
