This is based on the Holmes story “The Blue Carbuncle”, one of the best stories that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote starring Sherlock Holmes and his partner Doctor Watson, so in my adaptation I've tried to stay true to the story. It’s the only Christmas Holmes/Watson adventure and it’s one that really showcases their friendship.

Character Roster:
Sherlock Holmes
Age: 35
Description: Sherlock Holmes was the worlds first consulting detective. He was able, by application of scientific methods of observation and deduction, to solve many crimes which baffled Scotland Yard. Holmes is a very repressed, withdrawn, dysfunctional man, who has deliberately removed himself from the mainstream of his society. He can't function as a normal member of society, he doesn't have any small talk, he doesn't have any social life, he doesn't have any friends, except for Doctor Watson.
Note: I think Sparf might be well suited to this role.

3 - "It’s only one of those whimsical little incidents which will happen when you have four million human beings all jostling each other within the space of a few square miles."
John H Watson MD
Age: 37
Description: After being wounded in Aghanistan, army doctor John Hamish Watson returned to England in 1881 and began sharing rooms with Sherlock Holmes. Practically Holmes's only friend, Watson completes him. While Holmes is as deficient in human sympathy as he is pre-eminent in intelligence, Watson is a kind, caring individual, although slightly inferior to Holmes in intelligence. Holmes and Watson need each other to survive. Without Watson, Holmes would probably end up O.D.ing on cocaine during a dry spell between cases and with out Holmes, Watson would die of boredom.
