Jefferz,

I've been looking out for this : ) I must say, I wasn't disappointed. The mixing was done well and the cast was very talented- I can't wait to see the rest of the clips! I'm throwing in a bit of critique:

General: Oi! It looks really professional, which was my first thought. There's no doubt that everyone put in a lot of effort into this production, and it definitely shows in the quality of the final product. Congratulations on a successful first clip! One tiny point is the pronunciation, I heard the name 'Kaname' pronounced two different ways. But that's definitely nitpicking xD;;

Mixing: As mentioned before, the mixing was done well. I'm going to nitpick at it because there weren't any huge flaws: perhaps change the mixing for thoughts? During the conversation between Yuki and Zero, she inserted a few thoughts, but they sounded like they were spoken outwardly. It'd be useful to have a distinction between the two- usually an echo, or something else to that effect. Also, you might want to use the mixing to build up drama, not expel it. For example, at the point where the vampire representative comes in and asks for the other guardian and Zero suddenly appears, it could have been accentuated with some sort of loud SFX or an increase in volume. Just having him appear is really abrupt and disturbs the flow a little. Other than that, it was great! <3

Opening (mong): I've always loved your voice, and this just proves why~ It's powerful and compelling, and the pitch is right on. The lyrics were written well, too- one thing I'd have to say, though, is perhaps when mixing turn up the instrumentals just a little? Other than that, great!

Yuki (Ayame): My initial thought was that your voice seemed a little too high for the part, but I came to get used to it. Your performance was wonderful! The emotion was spot on, and you proved you could change from one thing to another in a split second. You definitely gave off the air of a responsible, yet naive guardian, and that was good! I'm looking forward to seeing more from you~

Zero (Takahata101): Hands down, my favourite performance from the entire cast! I was typing notes as a watched, and all I have down for you is a multitude of WOWs and beautifuls. There was just one spot: that monster! could have been a little angrier. Other than that, your emotion was done amazingly, and your voice fitted the character perfectly! Definitely going to watch out for you in the future- you have my heart! <3

Kaname (BladeBlur): It'll be good to hear more of you in future clips : ) For your small part this time, I'd have to say that I really did like your voice! One thing, though, is that the tone seemed a little strange. I imagined Kaname to be a bit more earnest about wanting to protect her than the hint of defensiveness I heard in it. But that's a tiny, tiny nitpick xD;;

Maria Kurenai (Kairi) Awwh, I've always loved her character. I think your voice suits her, and I was glad to hear it <3 Next time, though, perhaps watch out for consistency? I heard that your voice changed a little, and the tone of the recorded did, as well. If you're not going to record all your lines in the same session, try to recreate the same atmosphere so it doesn't sound choppy after it's mixed. Another thing is context: when Maria speaks to Zero about the truth, he's mentally aggravated by something. That creates a wonderful dramatic air, and it's your job to continue building it by adding a little urgency in your voice, or even hinting that she noticed it at all! Other than that, though, cute! <3

Kaein (Jordan Woolen): Your voice was so perfect for the role! I was kind of worried because I knew the VA for Kaein would have a hard time switching between playful and serious in an instant, but you managed to pull that off, which was great! His voice is naturally soft, but when interrupting Yuki in the Maria scene, maybe raise it just a little? Don't forget that you're supposed to cut off a strong female voice, which isn't easy when you're quiet. You pulled off tenderness wonderfully, though, and I commend you for that :3

Yugari (Antfish): WHOASODEEP. Was my first impression, but you were good for the lines that you had~! I hope to hear more from you in future clips!

Vampire Representative (Rahne): Wow, your voice is kind of haunting! It's calm and collected, perfect for the role that you were given. One thing I have to say, though, is perhaps go for a little depth? It's true that your character is calm under the situation and doesn't seem to be afraid of the guardians, but I didn't get a sense of evil from you voice. You may seem apathetic, but that doesn't mean your intention isn't murder! Try to consider that. Other than that, I really loved your voice >___< <3

...-long exhale- I apologize for the gargantuan post xD;; I really wanted to be able to critique everyone properly.

It was very good, though! I hope you all have in mind that I was seriously being strict; you are all quite talented and it definitely shows.

Looking forward to more! -wiggles- <3

wowza this turned uut better then i had hoped : D

mixing: solid , it turned out very very well i must commend jefferz on this : D

antfish: dam duuuude you can go uper low while staying smooth and badass, good work

ayame: your yuki was a very good take on her i felt, the lines came out well as did the reaction foly, i really felt the emotion at the pond scene, i'm glad you were chosen as her : )

bladeblur: you had 1 line.... yet it sounded smooth and sexay. many thanks for your help in this project

kairi: i liked your voice, but i felt the reactions and tones at certain points were as if 2 different people were portraying the character, again it worked out though

para-bolic: again your voice suited the character, but i felt as if in the ending scene you seemed to loose the voice and character a bit, the opening scene with cross came out great but i felt it slipped over time. no worries good job nonetheless: )

rahne: your voice was very different from what i expected , but luckily it worked, and worked WELL, gawd it was creepy yet oddly suave, hope to hear more from you soon

overall: it came out near perfect, i personally can't wait for the next clip : )

This was hawt. My only complaint is Kairi. Her acting seemed a bit force at some parts, and her energy kind of died down. :/

Overall, good fandub

The high quality in both the sound and the video made this one clip real "eye and ear candy" for me. I jotted down a couple of notes as I watched it, so for what it's worth...

Mixing/Jefferz: You have DEFINITELY improved. That was my first thought when this was completely finished. Your sfx all sounded professional, which let me know you took the time to find exactly what you were looking for and didn't settle for anything less. I admire you for your dedication since it's something I have to watch myself on. It's very enticing to find something that "just sorta works" if it'll mean finishing the project faster. Then you sacrifice quality for time, and it shows in the final product. Kudos on your diligence. <3

I also kinda felt a light reverb effect on Yuki's "thinking" lines would help distinguish them from her regular speech. What you did worked fine - it's just a thought.

Since this is more along the lines of mixing... this is just my personal preference, but I felt maybe the original "Rondo" would've been a better choice than the karaoke version (NOTHING against Mongt!). Here's why: when you do a vocal cut, what you end up with either works or it doesn't. Sometimes, depending on how the song was originally mixed, the karaoke you get sounds pretty good. However, it often ends up sounding "muddy," which is what I felt happened here. You can still tell it's the accompaniment, but key elements (i.e. the drum set save for maybe the bass drum) get buried beneath everything else. When the rest of clip was of such high quality, it really made the background music for the opening stand out to me. Every producer has their preference, so it all falls on how much of a quality nazi you are. =)

Mongtsatsa/Opening Singer: You have a very lovely singing voice. I've never heard you sing before, but you delivered the lyrics with a lot of passion, which made it very musical and pleasing to listen to. <3 My small quip would be on some of the extended notes, it would fall slightly flat. And by slightly, I mean just a hair. =) Overall, really solid pitch throughout. Great work!

Para_bolic/Chairman Cross: You crack me up. XD You slipped from cheerful to brooding within mere seconds, and I admire your ability to do that. Your happy-go-lucky disposition played well off of Antfish's more serious demeanor. So very Chairman. <3

Antfish/Yugari: My favorite line in the whole clip was your, "That atrocious lavender apron has to be trash." I literally laughed out loud. I liked how you portrayed him; edgy but not completely devoid of compassion or a sense of humor. =P Your tone grew on me. At first, I was expecting something a little more "gravelly" I guess, but your smooth bass works well, too.

Takahata101/Zero: I've never heard you before, but you made an excellent first impression. I was very impressed with what I heard. Sometimes Zero sounds too cold, but you made him a lot more expressive, and your tender moments stood out to me the most because they can be tough to pull off convincingly. Most of all, the tone of your voice just fits Zero. I like it a little lower, and actually, it was downright sexy at times. Fantastic.

Ayame/Yuki: Ayame! It's been a while since I've heard you, so it was so refreshing to hear your voice. =D You made an adorable Yuki; upbeat and very thoughtful. On her more emotional splurges, I felt her genuine concern and care for Zero. Can't wait to hear more. =)

Bladeblur/Kaname: Ah, Bladeblur. You know I adore your Kaname. Your low voice suits him well; it's just too bad you didn't have more to do in this particular clip. From the one line I heard, though, I do have this to say: remember, he's talking to Yuki. He should have a clear change in his tone when addressing her (going from a bit distant and commanding to affectionate and very kind). I felt you could've been a bit more tender with this line, showed he really cared. That's really all I have to say about that.

Kairi/Maria: Your voice was very, very sweet for Maria. While you had a good grasp on her emotions, I wanted to push you a bit further to be even more passionate when she was yelling at Zero. This is also just a personal opinion, but when she turned away and is acknowleging Shizuka's death, you were still yelling a bit, like she was in shock/disbelief. Since her face looked more like "the wind's been taken out of my sails," I felt maybe she should be more "quietly accepting" the truth, a softer tone with that "my world has just been shattered" feel. These are just my thoughts. XD

Rahne/Vampire Representative: Oh, suave and kinda spooky. I like it. It's very vampire. My only comment was I felt you were a bit too casual when addressing Yuki, and after Zero had come to the rescue. I wanted a little more menace to your voice to give him that "dangerous" edge.

Wow. I know this is a lot of writing, but these are my thoughts. I can't wait to see more of these, and hope to view additional clips in the future. =) I'm truly honored to be a part of this team.

Let me have a bite of this vampire... pie?

Mixing - Jefferz, usually I am able to pick up stuff, but this time I think you have done well! There is a reason why I am always honored to be part of your productions!

Opening - Mong, you rock. I honestly like the Guilty OP a lot more than the original one, has more finesse to it. Anywho I'll agree with what crystal said that the longer notes need work but honestly, I love it. You have done an amazing job.

para_bolic - Cross: As expected you did a great job with the role, especially the comedic roles. Great job!

Antfish - Yagari: I like the smoothness in Yagari, and it is actually quite the same idea what I had in mind, so excellent job.

Takahata101 - Zero: Big shoes you had to step into, since I have heard at least 2 good renditions of Zero. Honestly, you are Zero and I have no words to describe how much you amazed me. I am really glad you didn't only get to do the role, but also nail it to a "T". My god we need to get to our confrontation!

Ayame - Yuki: YUUUUKIIII.... ahem. Like many, your Yuki is adorable. I got used to your voice pretty quickly, so good job!

Kairi - Maria: First of all, Kairi, I said it a lot but I'll say it here again. YOU HAVE AN ADORABLE VOICE <3. I think the moment when Maria explains her origin was a little odd since your pitch was going up and down many times. That's my only problem though, nice!

Rahne - Vamp Rep: I'd admit the first few lines before Yuki says her lines weren't as intimidating as I wanted them to be, BUT that being said, you definitely got a lot better, that yell "WHERE IS THE OTHER GUARDIAN" was downright great!

Blad...Myself - Kaname: Lesson learned. Never take a single line as granted. Ran and Crystal, I appreciate the critique, I think I have rest on my laurels for too long. My main fear was too go too over the top when Kaname says the line but it backfired. Next scene, which is far more crucial for myself, I'll definitely improve ;)

Overall nice job Jefferz. I want to see the second clip made! Not just because I'm in it or anything... nope :P

Thank you so much everyone for the lengthy and in-depth critiques so far! I'll definitely keep it all in mind for the future clips.

YEAHHH IT'S OUT! Guess I'll continue with the long review trend~

General: I haven't been around the boards that much recently, so this was my first time hearing nearly everyone in the cast. I must say, I was not disappointed! It was great to hear the new talent on these boards. Also, I thought the credits in the opening song were really cool!

Mixing: Jefferz - SFX & BGM were well-placed. However, there was a slight distortion on some of my lines, which was a bit distracting. I’m guessing that’s the result of cleaning, though. Also, I have to agree that Yuki’s thoughts could have used a reverb. Otherwise, though, the mixing was top-notch.

Scripting: Jefferz – While the script worked pretty well, some lines did not fit the flaps at all – especially the vampire rep’s lines and Zero’s flashback line. Some of the scripting of Maria’s speech also didn’t make too much sense – her first line, for example: “I was requested by Miss Shizuka to occasionally use my blood, since I was just a vessel” implies that MARIA was using her own blood, but if I’m not mistaken, it was Shizuka that used Maria’s blood. Another of Maria’s lines…the one about Kiriyuu being a pawn, sounded like the mastermind made Zero look like Zero himself died, but that doesn’t really make sense with what actually happened in that scene, if I recall correctly. So I guess just be careful to make sure the script makes sense with what happened. Overall, however, the script worked well, and there were hardly any extra lip flaps.

OP: Mong – You have a nice voice =) However, this song sounds a bit out of your range, as the lower notes sounded strained. Also, I had a hard time figuring out what you were saying, but that was mostly due to the speed of the song and the background music, which can sometimes swallow up the ends of words. Still, it never hurts to enunciate a bit more, especially since songs have no visuals to help the viewer figure out what’s being said. That’s just me being really picky though – you do have a nice voice, and your sense of pitch is good.

Yuki Cross: Ayame – Thanks for the comments, everyone. Playing Yuki was a real treat, and I look forward to playing her in future clips!

Zero Kiriyu: Takahata101 –You have a great voice for Zero. My favorite lines of yours were the ones by the lakeside – you had great delivery there. I agree that the “That monster!” line sounded a bit flat, but otherwise you made a stellar Zero.

Kaname Kuran: Bladeblur – Another new voice! Not much to go by here, but it sounds like you are going to be a sexy Kaname. Looking forward to hearing more!

Maria Kurenai: Kairi – Like others have said, the inconsistency in the voice caught me off guard, and I don’t think it really fit. However, the voice you used when she was more excited was quite cute, and the delivery for those lines was quite good. I especially liked the lines when they first go into her room – the changes in emotion were handled really well. The voice you used for the explanatory lines also fit her image, but it was too inconsistent with the other voice. The delivery on some of these lines was also too monotone – most notably, the lines right at the end of that scene after Yuki and the Chairman leave (such as the one about the enemy being a threat to all Purebloods), and the first one she says when sitting on the bed. So after all that blabbing, what I really mean to say is that you have a really cute voice and that both of the voices you used for her fit, but it would have been better to stick to one of them.

Kaein Cross: Jordan Woollen – You make an excellent Kaein, especially on the goofy lines. I especially loved your delivery in the opening scene. Looking forward to hearing more!

Yugari Touga: Antfish – Again, not much to go by, but your delivery was good. The voice seems too deep for the character to me, but it may just be I’m not used to it…so hopefully I’ll get to hear more of you in future clips and become accustomed to it!

Vampire Representative: Rahne – The voice fit (in fact, it was pretty sexy), and the delivery was good – especially on the “I see…you’re a guardian too, huh?” line. I would have liked to hear some struggling in the lines he had when holding onto Zero, but otherwise it was nicely done.

Sorry if this seems too harsh…I really did enjoy the clip, and I thought it was well-done. I’m looking forward to more!

While I do not have the energy to do a full critique at this moment, I will say that I enjoyed everyone's performances immensely and I wish that I had figured out the problem with my mic's cable before I recorded for this. The fuzz in my lines was annoying.

Anyway... I'll put up a longer, more individualized critique sometime tomorrow, maybe.

At the moment I don't have any energy at all to do an in depth full critique...I just want to say you guys did amazing.
I've been up for a long time and if I ever do get around to writing out a critique I will.
Jefferz, you did amazing mixing and scripting this clip.

I've been meaning to get around to this for a long time. XD I really like how this turned out. Wonderful job, Jefferz. It maybe a bit old now, but I don't care. X3

Zero Kiryu - Takahata101 - I have to admit, this is the performance that I focused on the most and paid most attention to. I really enjoyed your performance for Zero, Takahata. Seriously, I thought it was excellent, and definitely one of the better portrayals I've seen of Zero. Unfortunately, I don't really have anything to say otherwise, because I couldn't come up with anything negative to say. So, brilliant job, dude. :3

Kaien Cross - Jordan - As always, dude, I love your Kaien Cross. You're one of the few voice actors I've seen who can consistently give a good performance when reprising a role over and over again. Again, nothing negative I can really say about your performance that needs improving. :)

Kaname Kuran - Bladeblur - Even though it was more of a brief cameo, I enjoyed that. You're still just as good as ever when playing Kaname. To me, it was like a breath of fresh air to hear that one line, because it was so well delivered and believable. Wonderful job, Bladeblur.

Vampire Representative - Myself - Oh, I'm not always good with critiquing myself. XD I'm glad I got to be in this, and this is one of the first times I can feel even slightly proud of my performance. My delivery could have been better in some areas though, and I was still learning to use my new mic back then. Fortunately, I know how to actually use it now. :P I think I did good overall here, but it could have definitely been better.

Yuki Cross - Ayame - I've heard quite a few people play Yuki, some good, some bad. I really, really liked your performance, Ayame! Your portrayal was sensitive and very believable, I was pretty immersed and really drawn in. Your delivery and emotion was lovely. Wonderful, wonderful job. However, there might have been a bit "overacting" here or there, but overall, your performance was excellent!

Yugari Touga - Antfish - This is my first time coming across your voice, so I honestly have no idea what kind of voice actor you are. ^^;; I felt that you did good with Yugari overall, but I also feel like you might have... tried a bit too hard to make yourself believable. It's weird, I'm not quite sure how to explain it, you got the lines down nicely, and even manage to grab that humour well. You accomplished it well, but I felt it was a bit excessive.

Maria Kurenai - Kairi - This is also my first time coming your own voice as well. I have to say, your mic quality slightly tainted an otherwise decent performance. Sometimes, it also sounded sometimes like you were just reading off of a paper. Still, most of your performance was great!
