I need a good voice recording program... I downloaded one that worked really well, but after two weeks I found out that it was just a demo and that they wanted me to pay $50 to keep on using it... -_-. So now I need some advice from you guys... I really don't want to continue jumping around the internet downloading different demo voice recorders every week or use that piece of junk "Window's sound recorder". So I really need your help! Is there some software I can buy (that's not like $100) or a good program I can download??

Well, there's Goldwave. It's shareware, but it allows you to continue working even after your limit is up. You just got to be careful to save often because the program refuses to do any work after a certain number of button clicks: so you need to close and restart the program to reset that button click counter.
And then there's Audacity, which is coimpletely free. DOn't know too much about it beyond that.
I use Cool Edit Pro 2.0 which I got errrrrr.... through surreptitious means. If ya know what I mean.

I have audacity and adobe audition. I think adobe audition works better, specially with my mic, though.
Audacity is free at the aforementioned url, and adobe audition... well... *ahem* There are other places to download software in a not-so-legal fashion. XD

... You all have PCs................ >.>;; I used to have Cool Edit-- it was great. My new favourite program, though, has to be Digital Preformer. But I can only use it at school. *pout* It's like $600, so.......... yeah. I tend to just use Sound Recorder or iMovie for things. It works pretty well, so I don't complain.

Sound Studio has been 'my baby' for quite some time now when it comes to a recording program for Mac. I strongly suggest it.

Cool Edit or Goldwave, just depends on what I feel like opening. Most of the time Goldwave though.

Nuendo. Extremely good, you can do pretty much anything you want to with this one.

I use several programs such as Adobe Audition, Sound Forge, Nuendo, or Cubase. The best part of all of this, is I got every program for free. The one I mostly use for Sound recording and editing is Sound Forge though. It's really relaible, and it's awesome. Infact they are coming out with the 8 one soon, so i'll probably get that.
