Alright so this year for the anime con I am going to I am planning on being Sailor Mnemosyne and my best friend is going to be Sailor Lethe.

However we are having trouble finding what patterns to use to make the costume since we couldn't find anything close to their dresses.

This is what the costumes are supposd to look like.

Sailor Lethe: Green
Sailor Mnemosyne: Pink

Any help would be possible. If any of you know of where we can find the shoes too we'd be grateful.

Please and thank you in advance.

You can try any thrift stores or any malls like around here since its the summer time they have this Indian type store that has shoes like that, you can try and then spray them. Its pretty much fancy sandals they are pretty too

For the dresses, just ignore the sailor collar, try and find something with a pleated empire waist like that, the top doesn't matter, then find a pattern with a basic spaghetti strap. You can splice the two together. then add on the sailor collar (:

I'd actually try a night gown type pattern, and then you can pretty much add the trim on the top.
For the collar, I'd try Lynleigh's tutorial on making it.

Well...is there anything you can do with Simplicty 2951? It's not exact, but as summer comes closer, you should be able to find a more exact pattern.

I think it would be due to the fact you're looking for a dress as opposed to what they appear to be wearing -- which are "babydolls"...

Found here: http://yhst-41531193861063.stores.yahoo.net/bolameba.html

You can find variations of them there -- or just look for some lingerie/babydoll patterns and adjust them as you need it (length, pleating, etc)...
