Hi folks. :)
We're a relatively new audio production group about to launch the first issue of our Superman audio "comic book" on the leading Superman fan website which gets thousands of visitors each day. Recently one of our voice actors had to drop out for personal reasons, and so I need to recast her role as soon as possible.
We're producing roughly one new "issue" every month. The first two are entirely completed, but it's the third and fourth we're having the problem with. All lines are in for issue 3 except for this one role, and nearly all the other lines are also in for issue 4.
This is a somewhat important role with a decent amount of lines. I want to be up front about it and let you know that, if cast, we'll need you to whip out all the lines for issue 3 and 4 within two weeks so that we can catch up and get back on schedule. After that we'll return to our normal schedule and you'll never have less than a full month to get lines in (and sometimes you'll have even more time than that).
Here's the role:
Lana Lang - Female, mid to late 30s. Clark Kent's childhood friend and first girlfriend. She is still close friends with him in their adult life. She is a former first-lady of the United States and is a single mother just out of a divorce, trying to put her life back together.
Audition lines:
Lana (curious) - I can't imagine what it must be like to be married to him and to have to deal with that sort of thing every day.
Lana - It was somewhat detrimental to my emotional health to be pining after him all these years. At some point, you finally just have to move on.
Lana (depressed) - Things were too rough back in Smallville. Pete moved back there after losing the Presidency, and it was just too close for comfort. We needed some... space for a while. Let things settle some.
