Last time I tried posting this Radio Play, I didn't get quite the reaction I expected. Not many people signed up, likely because of the lack of female parts. So I revised and redid several parts of the script so it will have a wider appeal. The following post contains only roles for episode one as it would be too overwhelming to receive roles for the entire series at once. Despite this, know that I am very serious about it's completion. If I think your voice is good, I'll send you a copy of the full script. If not, I'll simply e-mail you so you don't end up waiting for nothing.
Story
In a nutshell, Assassin is about an Assassin known as Black Jack, being interviewed in prison by a middle aged journalist. As he tells parts of his life, the listener experiences a flashback of exactly how it happened, also interesting dialogue between the Black Jack and the man interviewing him.
Episode One Roles
Black Jack:
Can be seen as both the main character, and main villain. Black Jack for nearly ten years made a living out of taking the lives of others. His specialty is stealth capturing, and gruesome torture. Low, Male Voice required. (Must be dedicated, he is in every Episode and has many lines.)
Line One: Knives are fantastic, much more fun than a firearm.
Line Two: I started off killing small animals, like most serial killers.
Line Three: Assassin? I suppose that's a good way of putting it.
Line Four: Are you intimidated?
Interviewer(Name never revealed):
Black Jack's interviewer is a very brave, bold man. He doesn't hold back question which may offend and never appears afraid of Black Jack. A Medium-Low Male voice is required(Once again, must be dedicated.)
Line One: Why do you choose knives as your specialty?
Line Two: ..And your first murder?
Line Three: Your ways are far too distinct for you to simply be a murderer, Assassin is a much better word.
Line Four: *Laugh* You're handcuffed to the table, you're a sitting duck.
Young Jack:
Black Jack as a Fourteen year old boy, self explanatory. Preferably a higher voice but medium could work as well. He's only in Episode One.
Line One: You should have known not to fuck with me, now you're in for it.
Line Two: *Gasp from getting hit*
Jack's Dad(Name also not revealed)
Black Jack's Dad is a Hunter, and teaches him how to effectively kill a wild animal with a hunting knive. Makes the mistake of giving him a Hunting knive as a present. Should have a low male voice.(In Episodes One and Two.)
Teenager One, Two, and Three:
Unimportant characters that can be anything from high pitched to low pitched, male to female. They are teenagers who gather around when they see a fight, and laugh when they see Jack get beat up.(One time part)
Line One: Kick his ass James!
Line Two: Damn, James is pretty good.
Line Three: *Laugh*
James:
School bully in high school who makes the mistake of picking on Jack and starting a fight with him outside. Ends up with a slit throat. Must be Male and with a Low pitched Mean voice. (Another One time Part)
Line One: Come on freak, I'll cripple you.
Line Two: Wimp.
Line Three: *Gurgle from throat being slit.*
Additional Information
- This Radio Play will likely offend some people because of the subject matter, so if you're not willing to swear in your lines, don't audition.
- I won't be fussy about sound quality, but keep it around medium. Send the file as (Yourname)_(Charactername)(Characterline#) eg. HyperEvil_BlackJack04.
- Send it zipped(winRAR allowed) to HyperEvil@gmail.com, I have 1 gb of space so don't worry about filling my inbox.
- Leave any way I can contact you in the e-mail (Note that my own messaging service is MSN) with your audition, and which one is the most accessible.
