This is actually old. I recorded it last month, but decided to upload it up onto youtube just now. Please critique! I like to improve. ^_^
Personally though, I feel emotionlessness again. I REALLY need to work on that when singing. And I totally ran out of breath somewhere in the beginning! >_<
"Listen to the music of the moment, maybe sing with m--"
I made my sister listen to it and she thought something happened to the mic. Ehehe...it isn't the mic. That was me running out of breath. Other than that...Yay? Nay?

P.S. Totally don't know how to scat so I skipped that part all together. XD
No way! A Jason Mraz cover here!? I couldn't resist leaving a comment xD
What a lovely cover. I really like your voice. It has a very pleasant, calm ring to it. And great job with guitar strumming. You kept a steady beat throughout the song. Just wondering though, did you record the vocals separately or did you sing and play the guitar at the same time? =D
Although I did notice that you ran out of breath in some places (like at where you mentioned and at "Well open up your mind [breath] and see like me", it didn't bother me at all. I also think I heard a little puff at 1:38. But other than those little things, I really liked it!
This was really soothing to listen to! Awesome cover! Thanks for sharing =)

Pretty good.
Jason Mraz is too sexy for his own good.
PS: Everytime I hear this song, I want lemonade. D:

Thank you two for the comments and for listening! ^_^ Indeed, he is definitely too sexy for his own good.
To answer your question, I sang and played guitar at the same time.

D: Someone beat me.
And then did a good job.

I liked it. Your voice is very nice, and you really captured the nice mellow tone of the song. You seemed to be reaching for some of the higher notes, but that's nothing some good deep breathes and warm-ups can't fix.

This is really good. Simple, but still very good. As some mentioned, I can hear where you ran out of breath, but still. This is a very good song. I was actually thinking about doing this one too. Haha.
Still, very pretty. ^^

Oh awesome, I'm a big Jason Mraz fan. You did a great job with the song, even if you skipped the scat part ^^. You sang well but the emotion, like you noted, was a bit lacking. Jason always has a lot of emotion in his singing, without that the songs don't really hold up as well.
Anyway, you did fantastically. I've been thinking of covering a few of his songs myself actually <.<

Thank you! ^_^
BWoods: You should do it. I love Jason Mraz, but not enough people do covers of his songs. Or they do, but it's always the same one. XD

Yeah, I'd like to be able to do a version of "Lucky" or "Did You Get My Message"
Currently on my list of songs to sing are "A Beautiful Mess," "Song For a Friend," "Plane," and "The Dynamo of Volition"

I'm late to the party and I don't care. This song is a guilty pleasure of mine (being that I mostly listen to metal) and I thought you pulled it off beautifully. I really liked your voice. It was fun to listen to and I hope you cover more songs by Jason Mraz.

Wow, singing and playing at the same time is haaaard. And you did both really well.

^.^ wow a girl covering I'm Yours, that was really nice to hear! You have a very pleasant voice and I listened to all of this song (I would generally get bored or be lazy and listen to half of one).
I can really sympathize with breath control issues and emotional input as I struggle with both (especially emotional input on these types of songs) and am trying to improve.
Also I would have suggested re-recording the parts with the breath problems or other parts that you thought were problematic
