Very nice. All the voices were excellent quality. The music and sfx were mixed beautifully. A few times some of the voices lacked a little emotion here and there but for the most part were wonderful.

A couple little nitpicks.
Sailor Jupiter - I know Lita does have a somewhat rough and tomboyish voice but it felt like you were forcing it a little and the performance was suffering a little. Try to find a nice blend of voice and expression. We don't want to hear the original actress' voice. We want to hear your interpretation of the character. ^_^

Queen Nehelenia - A lovely tone, but her more intense emotional moments felt a little bit lacking. Other than that, wonderful delivery.

Overall a solid effort, and I'd love to see more.

Wow, this was really well done. I'll have to write a more detailed critique later, but mixing was amazing.! I was especially impressed with the voices, since I faintly remember them years ago, many of them were really close to the original. Great job, keep up the good work.

I totally understand where you're going with that one. But, unfortunately I was cast for sounding like Susan Roman, not for the original Japanese actress or just someone else, so I have to stick to that. I dont really have much of a choice on that. But, I can see where your comming from, thanks for the comments.

I'm a bad person and am not going to do a big review, but I think that all the actors did a pretty good job with both acting and imitating their DIC counterpart (Sailor Moon and Jupiter spring to mind the most).

I also enjoyed the script editing to make it more Americanized. I've seen ep 167 dubbed a dozen times, so it was a nice change of pace to hear different dialogue.

Sounds and such were good. The little between scene graphics were really interesting (not sure how I felt about the adding in of Saturn's premonition, though). Regardless, I'll be sure to catch more.

Ever since August of last year I have been a big fan of F4L's work and that year of waiting for the first ep has met it's purpose. I am so pleased at the final product of ep 167. All the actors did great.

DominoPrincess, I loved your performance, and your voice on imitating Susan Roman. Although I think you should feel more natural within the character. But through the next eps, im sure you will get better and sound better.

Eku Egao, I loved your Nehelenia. You have her character good and everything. I personally thought your performance was boring me a bit. You should show a bit more emotion. I am sorry if I sound a bit mean but that's what I thought of it. Next time just try to put more emotion into your lines. Other than that, I didnt have a problem!

The editing was top notch I love the script. I dont really wanna comment on everyone's voices because I'd say almost the same thing for everyone else since I loved the rest hehe. Oh and I love what you did on Ishtar's Galaxia voice! It sounded very cool, and sounded like the "Negaverse" (I guess that's what you would call it, in the japanese it was just Metallia) in the first season.

I think thats it..Looking very forward to the next ep!

Does anyone remember following the DiC series as a kid, and desperately hoping for new episodes after your TV station of choice just kept playing rerun after rerun, until finally those new episodes came? And what a great feeling it was?

It didn't hit me right away after I finished watching the episode, but later in the day when I was thinking about it again, I was hit with a sudden wave of nostalgia, like finally, after all these years, a new episode! XD

I think what you're doing is so cool. This really is a great production, both in quality and in the spirit of its intent. Congrats to everyone involved on a great first release! :'D

... is pretty much all i can say after watching that episode. (currently downloading the HQ ep)
I've been a fan of Sailor Moon since childhood, and like many others I got hooked after watching the Dic dub. I respect the original show and the Dic version, treating each as 2 almost completely different entities. So being a huge fan of those early dubbed episodes, I fall almost immediately in love with fandubs that use concepts from the Dic version. (ie; Negavision r.i.p.) Here's my 2 cents:

Great job with the custom scene transitions and episode title, the colors look really well with the remastered video. Everything looks so much brighter and ... Sailor Moon-ey. The only thing that kinda irked me was ... that there was no sound effect when the mirror creature made contact with Sailor Saturn. Not a thump, or a thwak. Heh, small gripe with an overall AWESOME fandub. Nifty closing credits too.

Voice acting was spot on too, everyone's voices seemed to ... match. I was glad to see the staples of my favorite Sailor Moon dubs/fandubs - a semi-British accent for Amy, and the slight rasp in Lita's voice. (Just a note - for some reason I almost started busting out laughing with Darien's "Hey there girls!")

I'm totally looking forward to seeing more of this, I hope you manage to complete at least the Nehelenia arc of Stars. Keep up the effin awesome job guys!

I'm so glad you're enjoying it. My dream was always to help in the production of Sailor Moon somehow, and i guess this is as close as I'll get ^_^.

I don't know where I have been (well, actually, I do, but that's a whole separate matter) but I really, really, really LOVE this fandub.

For those who don't know me, I have been lurking in the shadows since 2000. The reason I joined the SDUBB was BECAUSE of the Sailor Moon S Fandub that Mark Sprague did. Before the Cloverway dub came out. I have the VHS, and was so impressed by their fandub. I was a big fan of Negavision, but sadly we know what happened to that.

This Fandub reminds me of why I wanted to get into it in the first place. Moreover, it seems like a natural continuation of the DiC dub. I echo the sentiments of whoever upthread said that this gave them a feeling of nostalgia.

SO many of the voices are great - Sailor Moon, Sailor Jupiter, Minako and Luna really come to mind. I am really pulling for this project!
