Hello all.

I'm currently nearing the end of an animation project for my class and I'm looking for two actors, a guy and a girl, to provide voices for the characters. I'm not quite sure how things work here, I'm really really new (=_=), but I would need for whoever is interested to provide voice samples (either e-mail one to me or provide a link to one) so I can figure out the voices. So please, everyone who wishes to participate step forward, and I will choose two people to voice the characters.

Basically, the premise is about these two characters, Stratos & Cirrus, who both wander the skies aboard their skyship. What happens in the film is that Cirrus encounters an enemy ship and destroys it while Stratos is toatally unaware of what has happened. The film is supposed to be a minute long and there is really only maybe 20-30 seconds of dialogue in total.

I'm providing some character expressions and descriptions so you guys can get an idea of the characters.

Stratos (male role)

Around 16 years of age, basically a down to earth guy of average intelligence. He's been partners with Cirrus for about three years and finds her to be an odd person and is easily confused by her actions and pesonality, but he enjoys being around her none theless...except when she pesters him. He thinks of himself as something of a big brother to her. Stratos is the pilot of the ship and hangs out in the cockpit through the film.


Cirrus (female role)

Roughly 13-14 years of age, acts alot like a kid and doesn't take things all too seriously. She likes to take it easy and is eager to help out Stratos. Shes more perceptive than she seems, and is quite dangerouse behind the ships cannon. As the gunner, she sits outside and on top of the ship through the film.

Edit: Okay, here are the audition lines for the characters. Try a couple different takes with each and vary your acting/pitch to get it to sound as close as you can to what you think the characters might sound.

Cirrus- Medium to high pitch
Stratos- About medium pitch

Cirrus: (slightly whiney) -sigh-"I'm bored though..."
Stratos: (a little annoyed but reassuring) "Just hang tight, ok?"

*Huge explosion from outside the ship is heard and felt*
Stratos: (rather shocked) What the hell was that!?
Cirrus: (acting as if nothing happened) Hmm? [about a 1 second pause]...oh! Nothing to worry about.

You can go ahead and either post the file link, private message it to me, or just e-mail it to me. Mp3 format is preferred but .wav is fine as long as it comes through clearly enough.

Wow, very nice. If you're interested in the role, I've got a feeling you might be perfect for Stratos. :D

I'm not saying to shout, but to keep in mind the background noise. (Those playing for Stratos dont have to worry about this, seeing as he sits in the cockpit.)

So should I redo them?Its not necessary to redo it for these lines, seeing as I'm paying more attention to pitch and tone right now rather than volume, its just something to be thrown out there as FYI. Yours are perfectly fine so theres no need for worry. : )

Err...its been awhile. <.<;

I just figured I'd give a heads up to those who were left wondering, the project was completed (well somewhat completed actually, its fairly rough and needs a few additions...anyway), but its a rather large filesize, and even after compressing it to something more manageable, I'm not sure if I would be able to find a place to upload it to. However, I do think it came out rather well, and would like to thank Ayame-chan and ASW for lending their voices, and all who auditioned for their interest in this project. I'll continue to search for a way to upload the project onto the web for those who are interested in viewing it. As soon as I can turn 427mb into......something alot less, and find a place to upload it, it'll viewable.
