Well here it is at last. I still am missing my chrous singers, but they stopped communicating with me so I decided to just release this as it is. Now bear in mind that I did not intend this as a direct translation of "Kimi He", it is basically all origional. I tried to make similar-sounding notes to the Japanese lyrics in English when writing this so you may notice that if you listen carefully.
Anyway enjoy Sweetdream's rendition of this song using my lyrics and don't be shy with comments.

Sweetdreams- your voice is so beautiful! It has such a nice tone and nice vibrato, but for some reason it became way, WAY off key from the karaoke track (for example, at about 1:20 to 1:40 and about 2:55 to 3:00). I don't know if that was on your end, or if you and Chrono had different karaoke tracks or something. If you work on keeping in tune, I think you could really have something there.
Chrono- the lyrics sound wonderful, no problem there. But I think Sweetdreams' vocals were a bit off from the karaoke track, which I think could have been fixed by a little extra mix-editing or something. I dunno. Otherwise it sounded pretty cool.

'kay.. I'm going to be really honest here, so please don't flame me. >D;
With that said, off we go: SweetDreams, you start out quite lovely. Your voice has some serious potential. However, during the chorus you really started to falter with a lot of notes, missing them, going flat, etc. This is partially due to the fact that you are not singing with your diaphragm, and instead singing with your throat.. so when the more powerful parts come up, you're caught between staying sweet and being emotionally strong, which causes you to sound.. slightly unsure of the song and this makes you miss quite a bit. Also, when you hold out notes at the end of verses/choruses.. I don't get a sense for you actually trying to hold a musical note, it kinda sounds like you're talking/yelling the note. :x
Anyway, I don't know if this is as a result of the mixing, or an awkwardness with the lyrics.. whatever, but around 2:50, it sounds like you forgot the lyrics and everything kinda falls into a strange place.. do you understand what I mean? Also, there were a few places during the chorus that I felt were a bit off with the song as well.
But.. like I said, you start out wonderfully, you just seem to lose it a bit towards the chorus areas. Keep it up, keep practicing.. you have a nice voice, you just need to work with it a bit more. ^.^ I'm sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings or stepped on anyone's toes. ._.;

I appriciate the honesty. Timing SweetDream's singing with the karaoke track was done by laying the origional (Japanese) version of the song down for a guide and then muting it once that was done, so while it wasn't perfectly on time, I tried to get it as close as I could.
Since I'm not really much of a good singer, a male, and pretty much tone deaf, I probally shouldn't have been the one to sing a guide track for SD to use. Since she is willing to have another go at it, we may just do another version. I think we should probally have someone else (besides me) sing a guide track though, lol.

While Nikki has technically analyzed what's wrong with this clip with diaphragm problems and what not, I'm just going to straight up ask... SweetDreams, have you ever heard the chorus for Kimi He? Because... you sound like you made a tune up... The verses sounded GREAT, and you have a lovely voice... which totally confounds me when it comes to the chorus. OUCH. I would love to hear you re-do this song with a better knowledge of the tune. Can ya do that for me? I'd like to hear you try again.

My critique... Hmmm i've heard the recordings without music and SeetDream's voice sound sooo much prettier. I kinda felt that the timing was off speicially during the chorus parts... but i kinda agree with Katie... I mean okay it's YOUR version of the song but... the tune seems off. On the other parts it just seems a bit off with timing but it sounded pretty good. You've got a pretty voice ^^
One of the missing chorus parts would be me *raises her guilty hand* Gomen... after I recorded the few I've sent you I've lost hope that my voice would blend with SweetDreams...though she's got a pretty voice my voice just doesn't seem to blend with hers. Gomen. It might also be what you said about when u sent her the way you wanted the song to sound...i gotta admit I took a quick peak at the clip you sang and just tried to harmonize with SweetDreams....I tried for hours and no luck. Maybe when i was putting the songs together it just didn't seem to match up Gomen.
