[So there's actually a few of these popping up here, maybe even better ones. I swear I'm not trying to compete with anyone, it's just a matter of bad timing. >.< But I hope you'll give me a shot as well.]

"I need English lyrics that convey the message of the original song, but at the same time are easy to sing."

Does this sound like something going on in your mind? If there's one thing I really love about the dubbing process, it's the adaptation of opening and ending songs. I love listening to them, and I've got a notebook full of a variety of my own. If there was a real world market for them, the search for my career would be over. (I may be exaggerating a little here.)

So do you have a fandub or song project that could use the English versions, or just want to sing your favorite song in a language it was not originally written in? Then to you, I offer up my services.

~~~~
What I Do:
I will listen to the original song, determine the message it is trying to convey, and write up lyrics for it that are both easy to understand, and easy to sing.
--I do adaptations, not translations. The final result may involve some stretching, but I will do my best to keep the message clear.
--I will match the beat and even syllables of the original song. If you can't read through my lyrics and be able to fit the words to the notes easily, then I have not done my job right.
--I will have some degree of rhyming in the song, unless specified otherwise.
--I will write up the adaptation in a time frame between a few hours and a few days depending on the length and difficulty of the song. At the most, it will take a week.
What I don't do:
--Translations.
--Song Mixing/Karaoke versions.
--Singing.
--Adaptations into languages other than English.
What I need:
--A sample of the original song. (YouTube link is just fine)
--A translation of the original lyrics into English. (Just a rough translation is enough)
--How much of the songs you would like to have done (TV size, Full song, a verse and the final bridge, etc.)
--All of this information e-mailed to me at siriusfan17_vaa@yahoo.com
Payment:
--Just a tiny footnote on the completed song crediting the adaptation to me. Cheap yes?
Samples:
Below are two samples of my adaptations to give you an idea of how the lyrics like to come out.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (TV Size)
Back to the shadows, I know you're behind me
(It's me you will fear)
Flight to the darkness, these claws of a feral beast
(You will know I am near you)
Heaven opens up to me. Living water turned into chilling blood
Is all that I can see.
This life I'm searching for, I know that
I can't go back anymore.
Say you want, you say you need; you can take it all from me.
I'll call the debt one day. Marks of blood you'll have to pay.
Lost on trails of fear and spite, unrelenting, hopeless night.
This twisted dream will die When the Cicadas Cry.
Arigatou (TV size) [Kyou Kara Maou]
"Arigatou" is what I sing to the skys, never mind that we've said our sad goodbyes.
Walk along, I hum our special song as crowds pass by
Hear that wind blow, it's something they will never know
You and I, we met under this sky, this place. I'm here...
"Please don't you ever leave me dear"
Now I wait all alone, for you promised to come home
And the promise I have made, to stay strong and true and brave
In our hearts I know we're one, Beating to a single drum
I'm here, I can fly. Let's take to the sky!
"Arigatou" is what I sing to the skys, I am waiting for you to return my friend.
Saying "Goodbye" is just a bitter lie, For we promised that this is not the end.
I will wait 'till I see you again.
