Update, April 3, 2009

First it was the devastating effects of hurricane Ike that forced an immediate halt in production. This also included the loss of several vital members, including our sound effects and footage providers. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of our voice actors and project staff, we have been able to retrace our footsteps and put our project back on track.

After several months, we now realize a new problem that has a risen. Though, tedious and yet, so very simple... Otaku Dragon Studios and Project Yu-Gi-Oh! are desperately in need of a second opinion when it comes to assessing the final product. We need a watchful eye, as well as an ear for quality for what we hope to be a long time running fan dub collaboration. We need constructive critique when it comes to minor adjustments in sound effects and volume.

It's a simple job! But, we need a third party to be able to call upon if need be. However, know that you’d be the first outside of our project staff to view the episode of this fan dub before its release. And to be a part of this, we need your credentials. This also means there are a few rules and requirements in which to follow…

- You must have experience in having mixed a fan dub, or radio play
- You must provide evidence of your work, in which your name is credited
- You must provide more than a single piece of your work

Please, post links to your work under this thread in response and we’ll view it and take you into consideration.

To top it off, we need individuals to not only proof read, but to help adapt our translated scripts. Not to mention we are in need of an assistant director! I am having trouble handling what is required of a single director and need someone to in assisting us in handing out scripts and e-mailing individuals and correct party members.

This project has gotten so big that we can’t possibly do it alone. (* “we” as in TitanAura and Myself).

Not to mention, we need help keeping the Project Yu-Gi-Oh! forums in order. So, prior knowledge of moderating forum boards is a must! Though, to be honest, it isn’t really that hard a job since there are so very few of us. I suppose if you can do one, you can do it all!

Meaning, if you’d like to help me out on this project and keep everything in working order by help us with keeping to deadlines, etc. We would appreciate it. I know I would appreciate it! We may also be in need of mixers and possibly video editors. You’d think we’d be lacking in sound effects and background music. No, those come in abundance.

What we are lacking is man power!

What is required of a video editor is knowledge of either Sony Vegas Pro 8.0, or premiere pro. You must also know how to render video footage in High Quality not only in video, but in sound using large ratios like 720x480, etc.

An example of mixing and sound quality we expect:

You may either post a response to this thread, with either credentials and/or links to your work. OR you may contact me at: otakudragonstudios@hotmail.com with all the information listed above in the body of your e-mail.

The most active members of our team have been:

Otaku Dragon Studios, Staff Members

Sakasa Jin'ei, Project Director
TitanAura, Localization Editor

Project Yu-Gi-Oh!, Staff Members

Jessica, Head Translator
Alexa, Assistant Translator
Russ869, Footage Providers
Icomeanon6, Subtitles
Icomeanon6, TitanAura, Sakasa Jin'ei, Mixers
Fexy, Sakasa Jin'ei, Icomeanon6, Sound Effects Providers
Fexy, Jessica, TitanAura, Sakasa Jin'ei, Casting

Our production staff has dwindled down in numbers from what used to be this (http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/showthread.php?t=34710)! You can call me paranoid or a workaholic, either way, the bottom line: what we generally really need is an extra pair of ears and eyes (for now).

We need critique, in other words! We need advise in order to fine tune the final product! TitanAura and I have been mostly doing the grunt work, we tire and maybe someone could help us out here by sitting back and taking notes for what we may have missed? Episode One is currently 97.9% Complete! Care to help us out with the critiques?

That's all that is basically needed night now.
Though, any offer in assistance at this point would ease the tension off our shoulders!

Well, I can't mix to save my life but I can help with the critiquing part.

I'll send you an e-mail as soon as possible Sakasa. Though I've been here for only a couple of months, I hope you like the mixing that I did, and I believe I can give a critique.

EDIT: Sent you an e-mail.

I've actually been going over the nitpicks with Titan every release via AIM. It's a lot harder to type them up than to just tell him them straight there on AIM. And the link broke for Pt 1 on the forums, btw.

You list me as a member of ODS and yet you restrict my assess to the ODS and ProjectYGO accounts? Not only that but you are asking someone how isn't even a part of the team to be your right hand as Assistant Director instead of filling the position with someone who is already on staff? Something is very wrong here.
