The script was taken from the english sub with a few modifications. I realize there are still some awkward lines but please excuse them - this is my first time producing a fandub.
SFX were a pain in my ass. Seriously, I loathe Ouran SFX. At least half of them were mixed, pitched, slowed down or sped up to match the original @_@
Anyway, my cast is amazing. Give them some love!

It was an honor to voice act in a Host Club project. I absolutely love the show/manga.

I loved the acting.
The mixing was pretty good, the only thing I have a problem with is when Haruhi is dusting off it sounds like a punch-swipe instead of a dusting off.

But that's about it 8D~

I laughed so tweaking hard when I watched this episode. owo This clip was very well done. ::nods::

tomatocars - Tamaki, Hikaru, Kaoru, and Kyouya
I really like the voice you chose for Tamaki and your acting fit his character well. A couple of the lines felt a little stiff, like when he was explaining that commoners like extras or that he was willing to loan his bear pen to Haruhi. I think it came from trying to fit the script in with the oddly paced lip flaps, but because of that you lost some of your acting. I liked the energy you gave the twins, although they could probably have sounded a little more nasal. Kyouya sounded fine to me.

mippa - Benio, Hinako, and the monkey
Your voice is so beautiful and feminine, and I usually like your mature voices. In this case, I think you gave Benio too much of a lovely feminine quality, though. Benio is a very masculine woman who has a habit of crossdressing, and her voice usually sounds quite manly. The acting was well done, and you managed to make her sound quite indignant. I think a little more drama in her farewell would have been fine since she's a real drama queen, but that's just a personal preference. Hinako sounded great. Cute and energetic. Monkey was both excellent and hilarious.

Chinomi - Haruhi
I loved your acting in this. Like. Seriously. The laughter at the beginning was great, and I really liked the soft tone of your voice when Haruhi was explaining that she went to Ouran for a reason. Your voice sounded a little more feminine than Haruhi nearer to the end of the clip, and I wouldn't have minded if you pitched it a bit lower. But even with that, I think your performance here was great.

Katsu - Chizuru
Nicely done. Beautiful voice and well performed. Wish I could hear more.

mikey - Mori
A really nice, deep voice. Fits Mori well.

Honey - Sayaka
I really liked your voice for Honey. It matched the original well and the energy and the acting were great. ::thumbs up::

Mixing
Even if you say you hate Ouran SFX, this came out sounding really good. Levels were fine and nothing seemed glaringly out of place. A bit of the scripting didn't seem to flow as well as it could have, but overall it was nicely paced.

Yeah the script was definitely a problem. I'm definitely going to have to spend more time on it next time I dub a clip. I did actually try going more nasally with the twins but then they sounded like Gary XDD

I did consider what you said about mippa's Benio but I loved her interpretation so much I kept it :3 And yeah Chinomi's Haruhi is LOVE and Sayaka makes an awesome Hani! Thanks again too my amazing cast for being a part of this ^^

My god, tomatocars! You are one talented guy! I love your rendition of Tamaki. And for the twins and Kyouya, well, they were spot-on! Your emotions and performance is wonderfully brillant. It's all executed very well.

mippa - Benio, Hinako, and the monkey
Very nice, Mippa. Your Benio does have more of a touch of femininity compared to the original, but I have to you say I really like your rendition, more than the original. And your Hinako and the monkey were just as good.

Chinomi - Haruhi
Oh my goodness. Chinomi, you are the perfect Haruhi in my opinion. You were able to be more feminine yet had that lower tone to make it beliveable that the Ouran Host club could vhave mistaken her for a guy the first time around. Love it. Your energy, emotion, voice, everything is perfect!

Sayaka - Hani
Ah, not gonna review myself. But I must say I really like the results. Hani senpai is one of my dream roles so I really hope I did the character justice.


Katsu - Chizuru
Katsu. I always love your performances regardless of your roles. And you were awesome as Chizuru. I really wish you had more lines. Great job!

mikey - Mori

You were perfect for Mori. Perfect voice. Like Katsu, I wish you had more lines, but your singing was great.

Mixing
Like I said before, the mixing is very solid. It sounds so professional. And I love how you add extra sound effects like when Hani twirled around in the dress. The dusting effect as been already mentioned so I won't stress it again. Overall, excellent, excellent work!

I'm so happy to have been a part of this project and to have the chance to work with you all. Tomatocars, thank you so much for the opportunity. And I really hope to work in another fandub with you again soon!

tomatocars: Your range is amazing.I should have known since Chef Pierre, but youastound me again. I think there was one line by Hikaru or Kaoru that you said a bit stiffly, though. I can't remember which one.

Chinomi: I love your voice in this so, so much. Laughing sounded natural, emotion was spot on and you managed to make Haruhi sound like a tomboy and a feminine girl at the same time. Does that make sense? HOW DO YOU DO IT? XD

mippa: Your lower range is complete love, and thoroughly enjoyable to listen to. Nice job with the monkey too, it was quite believable. :D

Sayaka: You are so cute as Hani! :D Lots of energy too, as befitting of Hani. Good job!

Katsu: What little I heard of you was good. I wished I could've heard more because you sounded great. XD

mikey: Perfect Mori. I want to hear more of you too~ XD

In terms of mixing, it was really well done. Good choice of SFX, although the dusting of the pants seemed a bit loud and unrealistic. Scripting was good too, but I think there was one line that seemed to run on for a bit-- Haruhi's line about the pencil she liked because it was easy to write with? XD

Overall, excellent job. I love how you have harmonies in their singing, it shows the effort and attention to detail you've put in this. Amazing work. *applause from the masses*

Your Benio was very good, but, like topleka and Sayaka said, a bit too feminine, but also like Sayaka, I like your voice better than the original. X3 Your emotion is always amazing. Hinako was good a well, and I loved the monkey! XD Your range never ceases to amaze me.

Chinomi - Haruhi
Oh my goodness, I absolutely loved the voice you used for her! Like tomatocars, I think that's how Haruhi should really sound.. Really great job! ^^ Your emotion and energy were spot-on as well.

Sayaka - Hani
Sayaka-chan! Your Hunny-senpai is perfect, so cute! X3 I loved your energy!

Katsu - Chizuru
I can't really critique myself.. XD; But you guys are all too kind. >//< I didn't really like my voice for her. u.u

Mixing:
I didn't find any problem with the sfx, except those already mentioned. The whole clip sounded so professional! You're an amazing mixer and I hope to hear more from you!

tomatocars- The range you showed here was amazing. When the twins told Haruhi they wanted to work in the host club with her it sounded a bit odd like you were encountering difficulties with matching the lip flaps and keeping your pitch. Your singing was fabulous and I loved the harmonies.

Chinomi - I really enjoyed your Haruhi. The laughing made me start to giggle too! When Haruhi told Benio she had no intention of leaving Ouran, at first I thought you said Leading moron so I had to relisten a couple more times till it hit me that you said leaving Ouran. (Maybe because I always thought it was pronounced differently.xD) Great job!

mippa - I adore your lower voices. I really wish I could hear you voicing more characters like Benio. You could have used a bit more of drama in your voice like topleka said. Hinako was great and the monkey made me laugh. Awesomesauce.XD

Sayaka - Your voice is so cute and fitting for Hani. In the beginning it was a bit difficult to understand what you were saying, but it became clearer as the clip went on.

Katsu - Cute as always. x3 I really wanted you to have more lines..;_;

mikey - I've never heard you before, but your singing was nice. Like with Katsu I wish you could have had more lines. :(

Mixing - A really great job. I noticed throughout the clip that there were a lot of "cartoony" sfx that must have been a pain to mix in. In the beginning the bgm overpowered Tamaki's voice just a tad, but it still didn't take away from the clip's awesome factor.


THe bloopers were made of win. Great fandub!

tomatocars - I really loved how you portrayed Tamaki. Most people do him really over the top, but you kind of toned him down and I loved that. I love your entire vocal range, but Tamaki was really my favorite.
mippa - I think Benio sounded a bit...forced in a way. It didn't sound forced all the time, but when you yelled, you could really tell that you were straining yourself in that low voice. The others were good, though. XD
Chinomi - I absolutely love your Haruhi! Really, truly amazing.
Sayaka - SO CUTE. OH GOD. SO CUTE.
Katsu - Very nice!
mikey - So short, but so nice.

I love the outtakes at the end, hahaha. This was very well mixed. Tomato, you got mad skillz. The whole cast was amazing, great job to everyone!

I think that's because I was recording it late at night and I had to give the illusion of yelling as opposed to the usual full-out thing that I usually do. So the straining you must be hearing is due to my self-imposed muting, since I usually have no problem shouting in a deeper voice. (Which also explains why I wasn't all "drama" on that one line like I should've been. My fault entirely, but tomatocars was apparently ok with them..?)

I thought the clip was fantastic--especially Chinomi, you really blew me away with this fantastic Haruhi rendition. I have to say it's my favorite voice of yours that I have heard yet...I really hope to hear more of it in future productions!

Alright~ Here's my review finally!

First of all this was amazing and everything came together solidly and I probably repeated this video clip, like, 5 times already.

tomatocars | Tamaki, Hikaru, Kaoru, and Kyouya
I love your interpretation of Tamaki! You had this nice suaveness and smoothness that you added into your tone that made a perfect voice for Tamaki~ Although I think you were slurring your words just a bit to get them to fit the mouth flaps during the bonus speech, but overall I think you gave a great performance and your acting was pretty solid throughout.

I don't know which one it was, but I loved the laugh you did for one of the twins after, "Which is beautiful?" XD Anyway, both twins were fine and Kyouya was good too. :')

mippa | Benio, Hinako, and the monkey
I really love hearing your voice in a lower register, mippa! Even though the voice you had was more feminine sounding than the original, I prefer your interpretation more because I think it sounds a lot more natural and fitting~ I didn't really hear the straining, except for the first time you shouted, but after that it sounded fine to me. gdjhdjfg I loved this SO MUCH. The tone of your voice was absolutely perfect for this! It somehow kept a feminine, yet boyish vibe at the same time~ Acting and energy was great and I especially loved your speech in the middle. It sounded so sincere and natural. Your laughing sounded great too! I'd definitely love to hear you voice Haruhi again.

Katsu | Chizuru
There wasn't much from you here but I thought your voice was fitting and the emotion was good. I wish we could have heard more from you!

mikey | Mori
You had this nice deep voice that was perfect for Mori. Naturally since Mori is a man of few words, you didn't get many lines but the one you had was sung really well!

Hunny | Sayaka
You sounded SO adorable in this! Your tone was absolutely perfect for Hunny and your acting was great~ Although the first time I heard "I'm a princess" it sounded a bit .. muffled or too fast to me, but after the second time I played the clip, it came out much clearer. I loved your repetitive "Ouran" in the outtake reel. XD

Mixing
Really impressive job! It sounds very similar to the original and even though you said the SFX were difficult, the end result was great~ Although, the dusting was a little off, the other effects were well placed and sounded fine.

Aaaand I loved the harmonies!

I have to say something, because this is one of the things I plan to study in grad school.

Being part of the 'Zuka club--that is, "Takarazuka," it's an emphasis on the fact that Takarazuka productions usually take place in foreign countries, as opposed to Japanese settings. Even in situations that there are Japanese characters, there is never really a full-out Japanese setting in Takarazuka productions (to my knowledge). This is the exact opposite of Kabuki, which is traditional Japanese culture to the very core. The most popular settings for Takarazuka productions are France, Arabia, America, Spain, and China. Thus the "adieu" and "zai jian." (Which she pronounced horribly in the original clip. ;;; )
